It is interesting to note--as a comparison--that the Nazis had several early propaganda films showing how "mean and cruel" Jews were to animals in preparing Kosher meats. With the smiles and waves to the cameras, I doubt if the folks being filmed had a clue how this would be used to "encourage the hate" against them.
I think they did these in the early 30's, but was sowing the seed to use this to be critical of the Jews and, thus, to subtly sell the idea they "deserved" to be moved out/ripped off because they were so "mean" to these animals.
Of course, much like the whackos we have in this country, I'm wondering if the average German just thought a cow would jump into a bun without the processing of the "harvest".
And one last final note--Hitler was a vegetarian. For someone who couldn't stand the sight of blood on his plate, he certainly bathed in enough in it.
