Bible u.s to help with babylon.

    Have just read on the rapcon site this article;
U.S. To Help Rebuild City Of Babylon In Iraq

    Prophecy

U.S. To Help Rebuild City Of Babylon In Iraq

Largely overlooked by the Western news media over the past few weeks was an enormously significant story. The government of Iraq is moving forward with plans to protect the archaeological remains of the ancient City of Babylon, in preparation for building a modern city of Babylon. The project, originally started by the late Saddam Hussein, is aimed eventually at attracting scores of "cultural tourists" from all over the world to see the glories of Mesopotamia's most famous city. What's more, the Obama Administration is contributing $700,000 towards "The Future of Babylon Project," through the State Department's budget.

Very interesting news that, what do you say.

This story was originally posted on Joel Rosenberg's site and picked up by the weird sites from there.

While this is a big piece of Bible prophecy coming true, this makes me think the rapture will not happen soon. It takes so many years to build a city. If this city is to emerge as something big during the tribulation, wouldn't that put the rapture out there farther than many of us hope? Am I understanding this wrong?

Saddam Hussein had already built many buildings in the city. There are many photos online. From what is posted online I think all that really needs to be done is to move in.

Israel considers the U.S. to be Magog! We are refered to as the "Quartet"- The U.S.,Russia,EU,and the UN. Now that we "own" Babylon, this is starting to look worse for America. As this man of lawlessness (Pres. Obama) meets with the sons of Ishmael (the Muslims) we are seeing prophecy revealed at a breakneck speed.
All we need now is a falling away of the faith...oh, wait that is allready rampant here in America. Secular Humanism is a recognized religion in the U.S., we now have women "pastors", pro-homosexuality,pro-abortion,pro-amorality,pro-drug use, in a society founded on Christianity. Let not your heart be troubled fellow bretheren, this all must happen.
    Matthew 24:34(KJV)
Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
    2 Thessalonians 2:1-3(KJV)
Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
    Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
    Hold true to the faith.

Regardless of how long it takes to build a city, the church does not have to be here to see the city built.

The Babylon discussed in the State Department notice is not a city at all, it is an archeological site of antiquity to be preserved as a tourist attraction and for future excavations and research. I believe the eschatological Babylon is symbolic of the all-encompassing, all-inclusive world system that will be controlled by the antichrist.

I hold an opinion in agreement with the 1970 study presented by Professor James .E. Smith, Professor of Old Testament, Florida Christian College.

I though this article, about 9/11, was amazing (especially the last paragraph):

Recovery Operation Something Photographer Gary Suson Will Never Forget

    Aired May 30, 2002

    CNN.com - Transcripts

THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED.
PAULA ZAHN, CNN ANCHOR: We are less than an hour now from the formal closing ceremony at Ground Zero. The recovery operation is something photographer Gary Suson will never forget. He spent months documenting the grim task and the personal stories behind it. And this morning, he is sharing some of his powerful images from an effort that stretched man and machine to the limit.

GARY SUSON: I began chronicling the early days of ground zero in September, because artist can't go out to the hole and dig. Artist do what they do best. They contribute through their emotional talents, and so like any artist, I wanted to contribute. I just wanted to tell the story of 9-11, but at the same time, I was extremely upset. I was really -- I was very distraught. So I kind of buried myself in the camera. And it was a nice place to hide for a while, you know, to try and disappear.

I've been shooting photography since age 13. Originally what I loved shooting were people. I loved capturing emotion in people. And I got down in to that hole, it was like a hotbed of human emotion, pain, brotherhood, togetherness, and people working together with a common goal to bring people home. I respect the firemen more than they will ever know.

Imagine going down there every day and raking through the mud and the dirt, looking for any sign of your loved one. There was a really cold night in January when I saw these two firemen digging. They were all alone, and I said to them aren't you going to go do dinner, and they said no, we're looking for our brother. A New York city firemen showed up at ground zero, and it just so happened that his son-in-law is a New York City police officer, and he approached the son-in-law and he said, "Are they making any recoveries today?" He said, actually, I think we have your son. And he marched his son out along with son-in-law. Very emotional moment.

What's great about the guys, the police and the firemen, is they never forget, they never forget where they are. And they are very gentle and sensitive to what they are doing.

This firemen could have sat in the comfortable mud, but he maze La-Z-Boy recliner out of the different wires, and it captures to me the humbleness of the firemen. It was early morning, about 7:00 in the morning, and I saw Chief Ritchie (ph) standing on a ridge overlooking ground zero, and I knew that obviously he was looking for his son. The irony to this photograph is that three weeks after this photograph, they found his son, and they found his son directly underneath where he's standing in the photograph.

A lot of the things that I saw down at ground zero took my breath away. They were symbolic things. A plug-in clock, which was stuck at 10:02 and 14 seconds, which is when the very first tower came down. It upset me. It was emotional to see it, I because so much life stopped at 10:02 and 14 seconds.

I was walking in the path controllers room. The room was completely destroyed. But there was a calendar on the floor, and it said, "Today is Tuesday, September 11th. I saw a lot of things that I didn't -- that bothered me, and I was considering packing it in.

So it was right around then that I found this Bible page in the rubble. And I took a picture of it. So the next day I got the proofs back and I just lost it, because the verse was Genesis 11, the tower of Babylon. I looked at the symbolism of the 11 and the tower, and I took that as a positive message and a positive sign that there's a higher power, God was watching down on both the people when they passed away.

    Sean,

The bible does say that Babylon will be a center of commerce for the world. It does say that the antiChrist will make his home HQ there. Symbolic city or actual city I don't know and really it doesn't affect me as I expect to be gone before the city is ever in use!

Babylon, war, or earthquake. Nothing is left to be fulfilled before the rapture except the fullness of the number of the gentiles. I expect that we are close! I expect 2011 myself.

I always liked Paula Zahn. She is my age within 10 months. She looks better than I do that sure!

I hope she is or becomes a Christian soon. She would be an awesome neighbor in the New Jerusalem!

The West - the revived Roman empire, the ten toes of the two feet of the two legs (Nebuchadnezzar's interpreted dream) of the coming beast empire - is the symbolic and literal Babylon, militarily, economically and religiously. Its destruction by the Lord Himself is assured at the end of Daniel's 70th Week.

I was in Saddam's reconstruction. It's nothing close to being a world capital. Rome, the city of 7 hills, is where AC will begin his rise and Jerusalem will become his HQ per Gabriel/Daniel per the covenant among many. Armageddon will not be fought in Iraq, but on the plain of Jezreel by Har Mediddo in northern Israel. Israel in that day will be territorially far larger than it is today. 10 times larger according to the Lord's prophetic Word; from the Euphrates to the River of Egypt and from the Mediterranean coasts of Syria, Lebanon and Israel eastwards to at least central Jordan.

Symbolic city or actual city I don't know and really it doesn't affect me as I expect to be gone before the city is ever in use!
    As do we all.

I would never dare to date-set the unknowable in any fashion. That the Harpazo is imminent is good enough.

Saying 2011 is not out of bounds brother. If I said may 21st at 10:04 in the morning EST now THAT would be date setting! Now that Harold Campos guy says May21st, but he has been wrong twice already before!

Everyone in and out of the church loves to quote that "No man knows the Day or hour" but what exactly does it mean?

Did you know that is the time the Jews call the Feast of Trumpets? It doesn't start on a particular day but when the first sliver of the new moon is verified by two watchmen. Also Jesus was using that for when he would appear in the second coming, NOT the rapture! The Feast of Trumpets isn't about Rapture it is about raising the dead at the second coming.

As for me setting a date? I can add. 1948 Israel in the land. 70 years average life for a man. add the two together and most would get 2018.

I just backed out 7 years for the bad guy and what am I left with? 2011.

It could be today it could be may it could be November. it isn't date specific so I cannot set a date. It is numbers driven. When the fullness of the gentiles comes in ZAP! it will happen right then.

Two in the morning or two in the afternoon whatever it is. Could it possible be other than 2011?

I don't know. I hope not. I do know that the people that are afraid for loved ones are the ones who dislike the rapture being soon. I have done what I can. I leave the rest to Jesus.

It means exactly what it says it means in the context of the Lord's full statement:

"But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only."

yes Sean. But he wasn't talking about the rapture at all. He was talking about His second coming.
