RaptureForums to be Shutdown!!

Headline got your attention? Of course it did. In the not-to-distant future, I foresee the Rapture occuring and the AntiChrist promptly moving to shut down every website with the word Rapture in it, especially this one.

Given that the Rapture could happen tomorrow, I felt strongly that it would be nice to formally thank "Chris" & "MattFiveFour" for all of the hard work they do in maintaining this wonderful website. It would also be cool to see what people feel that this website means to them.

For me, it is a relief to have a website to go to where, fundamentally, we mostly agree that the Rapture will most likely occur within the next decade, but probably much, much sooner than that (perhaps today!!). In a world of scoffers, it is absolutely awesome to be able to go to a website like this and visit with fellow Christians on a topic that never seems that far from our thoughts from morning until night (I'm sure most regular visitors to this site will agree with me on this).

Again - thanks Chris & MattFiveFour - for caring enough to keep this site going and giving us all a temporary home away from home!! God bless you both (and, of course, everyone else who works so hard on this site that I may not have known to mention)!!

I realize this thread is not directly about "Prophecy & End Times Chat", but I didn't see any harm in putting it out there to let you know how much we appreciate all of your hard work!!

While I completely agree with you (for example, the three angels of Revelation will spread the Gospel to those who remain), the purpose of this thread is to express thanks to Chris & Mattfivefour for performing an amazing amount of work keeping up this website. If tomorrow never comes (due to Rapture), I thought it would be nice to formally express our gratitude for all of their hard work today.

Well thank you very much, folks ... but I am a relative late comer to this forum. I only joined 3 years ago. Rapture Forums is the result of a burden that the Lord placed on Chris Schang. It was he who started it a few years ago and it is he and Buzz (BuzzardHut) who are the administrators and do the heavy lifting. I had none of the vision for RF. The burden God has laid upon me is to feed the sheep. Thus I do my best to correctly divide the Word, to exhort, encourage, and build up my brothers and sisters. My motivation began the day the Holy Spirit opened up Lamentations 4:4 to me. May no-one ever say of me that I did not try to break the bread that the "children" might eat good food, nor serve out the milk that the "babes" in Christ might not die of thirst. That is all I do; and it is a joy and a humbling experience to be able to do it!

But I can tell you that Chris, who has a young family whom he loves dearly and who deserve his time and attention, not only holds down a full time job but spends hours upon hours each week on this site. You may not see him always (sometimes he is not visible to members) but as a mod I can always see him and I assure you he is here. And here far more than ever I am. There are also times when there has been a problem with the board software and he has stayed up all night in order to solve the problem so we all can read and post. And yet he has had to go to work the next day. Yet I have never heard him complain. He does an amazing job and I join all of you in expressing my heartfelt thanks to him.

Since taking on a second job, I don't have the time to devote reading and posting on the forums, but I must echo everyone's sentiment of thanks to Chris, Buzz, and of course, Matt. When I am home and able to get on-line, my day begins with perusing the Forums as the news and information I get here is so far superior to any on-line news service.
