"Doctor" Jack Van Impe

I recently read that Jack Van Impe and his wife received their doctorate degrees from Pacific International University. Apparently, this isn't even an accredited Christian university and you can simply buy your doctorate from this "University" for $2,500 to $3,000. However, you can't always believe what your read. As such:

- Can anyone confirm how they attained their doctorates?

- What is this site's general concensus on Jack & Rexella's weekly show?

- Specifically, are they legitimate or not?

- Are they raking it in or are they responsibly spending any donations received on furthering God's kingdom?

- Are they useful tools of God or are they dangerous?

I couldn't find anything on this site about them, but it might be somewhere. If so, feel free to simply reply with a link. Thanks in advance. I'm really curious as I know some fellow Christians who love watching their show...

To be honest i really dont care about the degree thing. I personally dont agree with everything and i believe that is common among everyone within escatological circles to have disagreements. The fact remains date setter or not he still preaches the gospel with fervency and invites people to recieve christ on a global tv network scale. I remember when i was younger i would watch his shows and be convicted by the holy spirit to straighten up because the return of christ is near. He definitley has a niche preaching only on enfld time events and able to tie it to the gospel to get people to repent. Either way he is a faithful watcher and laborer in my opinion.

Jack Van Impe is a 1952 graduate of Detroit Bible College. He was on the staff of the Billy Graham Crusade for many years and where he met his future wife, Rexella, who was an organist for the Billy Graham Crusade.

As for the "Doctorate" issue... who cares? Since when does the Lord require such a piece of paper to preach His Word?
