The question I have is who anointed Glenn as "our" Shepherd. I think he is an entertaining political commentator who puts a few words into the conversation about "his" religion.

Just like anybody else, Joseph, his audience. A person only becomes influential when a large number of people agree that he or she is worth listening to.

I just think the people who went to the rally went to restore honor to America and not to pray to Glenn's mormon god.

The rally was a very small percentage of the number of people who think Beck's "on their side", dismissing the fact that he's in strong alliance with the Mormon church. I did Job Corps in Utah back in the early 1980's. Utah's not like normal places, everybody was saying that if you wanted a decent job or career advancement, educational credentials were not enough, you had to join the Mormon church and demonstrate loyalty to their doctrines if you wanted to get ahead in Utah.

Furthermore, the stuff they were showing in the presentation at the Salt Lake tabernacle was very different from whats being described in Chris's OP. Back in '83, they were saying that Jesus Christ appeared in person in the US in the 1800's (I think), and that their founder got this special revelation on golden tablets that although they were so very valuable as all that, are conveniently missing now. This has a lot to do with why I am so suspicious of anything Mormon, as would be anyone else whose spent time in Utah.

Glenn Beck Rally Causes Even More Evangelical Confusion

But Brannon Howse of Worldview Weekend is pointing out the spiritual confusion sown by Glenn Beck. A biblically and doctrinally illiterate evangelical public that is concerned about the direction of our nation was ripe for the delusion.

Maybe I just don't get it? But I don't watch Glenn Beck for the same reasons I watch Charles Stanley.

Thanks for the link Sis, and I did listen to the cross talk program the other day.

So it would be wrong to go to a pro life rally sponsored by catholics?

Depends on how much influence you permit the Catholics, the Mormons or anyone else have over you and why. The bottom line is what or who are you following, because the question that exposes the motive is where is this leading, or what do you want. Discover the motive, discern the long term goal, and you will be able to tell what or who you are dealing with. But if you settle for what you want to hear and deny the evidence of ulterior motive, you are setting yourself up for deception. That is why we must submit our will to Scripture, and why we must be able to develop a faith strong enough to believe God and His Word above all else.

Glenn Beck and the 'Restoring Honor' rally - National LDS Church | Examiner.com

Glenn Beck and the 'Restoring Honor' rally
August 28th, 2010 11:00 pm ETConservative commentator and Mormon "lightning rod" Glenn Beck's 8/28 "Restoring Honor" rally is now one for the history books. Easily a half-million people joined Beck on the Capitol Mall in Washington, D.C. this morning. My family and I gathered around my little Acer netbook with the eight inch screen and logged in to the Facebook broadcast of the event. Here are a few impressions I had about the rally and on what Beck achieved, both intentionally and unintentionally.

No matter what people tell you about Glenn Beck, he's the real thing. He isn't a put-on. He is a believer in God and in the American religion. That religion is the belief that all men are endowed by a Divine Creator with inalienable rights. It is a doctrine that transcends sectarianism and denomination. Beck's program was very much a religious revival, not a political rally. He called together patriotic Americans from all over the United States. For a moment, he was able to reach across boundaries of race and creed and bring people together--and together, they cried out to God for mercy, forgiveness, and his assistance.

A few blocks away, partisan civil-rights curmudgeons like Al Sharpton grumbled that the 8/28 rally wouldn't change anything and that Beck and the Tea Party Movement was trying to co-opt the legacy of Martin Luther King. The ironic thing is that, in four decades of hearing the rhetoric of ministers like Revs. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, I don't ever recall them actually preaching the gospel. I never heard them preach repentance from sin. I never heard them encourage people to have faith in Jesus Christ. I never heard any of them tell their followers to shun sexual immorality, pornography, stealing, taking God's name in vain, or to honor the Sabbath and keep it holy.

Glenn Beck, a rank-and-file elder of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, boldly invited Americans to come back to God. He called upon them to exercise faith, hope, and love. He called on them to practice charity and to tithe to their churches. He called on them to open their Bibles and to go back to their own churches. He challenged them with the words of Thomas Jefferson to "question with boldness the very existence of God." He urged them to put their families first and to set a good example. He asked parents to humble themselves and pray on their knees in front of their children. It was a pure gospel message.

The rally's focus was on the principles of faith, hope, and charity with a strong dose of 'honoring the troops" thrown in for good measure. The program was punctuated by inspiring speeches from speakers including Sarah Palin, who spoke as a mother of a veteran, not a politician. It featured Dr. Alveda King, pro-life activist and niece of the late Martin Luther King. There were presentations of medals for faith, hope, and charity to a lifelong pastor and civil rights pioneer, Rev. Rev. C.L. Jackson, baseball star Albert Pujols, and billionaire philanthropist John Huntsman. The rally featured patriotic music, traditional gospel music, bagpipes, and concluded with numbers from popular country artists.

During one symbolic moment, Beck introduced some 200 clergymen from various religions and denominations. He dubbed them the "Black-Robed Brigade," a reference to Revolutionary War America, where the preachers proclaimed "No king but Jesus" from their pulpits. Beck acknowledged that there would be inevitable doctrinal differences between these pastors, but they could find unity in knowing that God was the answer.

I believe that Glenn Beck's desire, in some measure, was to create a "King Benjamin moment." The Book of Mormon relates a landmark gathering of some of the ancient inhabitants of the Americas to hear the words of one King Benjamin. Benjamin declared principles of piety, humility, service, and faith to his people. He preached to them repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, who would be born in centuries to come, relative to his time. The result was a turning back to God by his audience that brought the Holy Spirit upon them. It was a moment of national renewal and personal recommitment to do good in God's name. This was Beck's template for the event that took place today.

As a Mormon, I have to consider an unintended message throughout Beck's work, which has culminated in this event. That message is: "Mormons are Christian believers." Despite nearly two centuries of misrepresentation and religious envy by sectarian Christianity, Beck has achieved the visibility, prominence, and has had the time day after day, week after week, to speak openly and truly about his core beliefs. Those statements of faith have disoriented and confused those who had previously believed the lies about Mormons. Just a few weeks ago, Beck discussed the heresies evident in "Liberation Theology" and declared his belief of individual salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. One confused person commented on Free Republic, a frequent forum for open Mormon-bashing, that "this would mean that Beck is 'born-again."

Jim Garlow, a popular and influential pastor who partnered with the Mormon faithful in California to defend traditional marriage was quoted recently in CNN's Belief Blog, saying, "I have interviewed persons who have talked specifically with Glenn about his personal salvation - persons extremely well known in Christianity - and they have affirmed (using language evangelicals understand), 'Glenn is saved...' He understands receiving Christ as Savior."

Hallelujah! The light bulb has been switched on after nearly two centuries! Every single member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints believes that a person must be "born again" and receive Jesus Christ as his Savior and Redeemer. Our holy books teach that salvation comes only in and through the atonement of Christ and that there is no other way a person can be saved. Those beliefs obligate us to do our best to keep God's commandments and to follow the example of Jesus in doing good. Glenn Beck's beliefs are mainstream Mormon beliefs. Joseph Smith, the Church's founder, was a Christian prophet. He was an apostolic witness of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

As Rev. C.L. Jackson said in his speech today after accepting the medal for faith, "God sent his Son to this earth so that we could all gather, and I think that's the dream and the vision of Glenn Beck." I myself have reacted, defensively and perhaps provocatively, to the attacks of Christian pastors on Mormons in the past. If anything, Glenn Beck has brought mainstream Mormonism into the public eye and has reached out to our fellow Christians in a powerful way. Perhaps it signifies the crossing of a threshold where Mormons and our fellow Christians can work together for good, to revitalize our country, and enshrine the principles of faith, hope, and charity--restoring honor once again to our familes, our communities, and our nation.
"It is therefore a profound truth that Socialism is the natural enemy of religion. A Christian Socialist is in fact an anti-Socialist. Christianity is the antithesis of Socialism" - Socialism and Religion, Socialist party of Great Britain, 1911.

Whats missing from this "new" message from the mormons is confession that they taught and promoted wrong beliefs and repentance from everything they'd been teaching and promoting.

Glenn Beck has left the political arena and has entered the realm of theology WHEN him praying to God and interjecting His praying to GOD is equal with Christians praying to GOD,--it ISNT. THIS is where Christians must PART with Glenn Beck. Glenn Beck holds to beliefs as a Mormon that are diametrically opposed to Christianity.

When he talks about that America needs to return to God and what this nation was founded upon --WHAT GOD Glenn Beck?? We were founded upon what the Bible says and Christian beliefs----NOT on mormonism

The Big deal is---We don't pray to the same God and he's trying to equate that we do. WE CAN stand together on this nation being brought back but NOT at the expense of leaving out the GOSPEL. HE has another Jesus and another gospel.

It just goes to show that if Christians cannot discern the counterfeit from the genuine, we are in serious trouble like LOT was. This is just another indication that the Antichrist is going to fool the world if even Christians are so easily duped with someone who is a mormon

    Adrian,

    Thank You!!

    Glenn
Consider the words of Omar M. Ahmad, founder of CAIR: "Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant." ... "The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America , and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth."

    You're welcome, bro.

Now let's examine something that has cropped up in this thread— namely that the LDS church proclaims "Every single member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints believes that a person must be "born again" and receive Jesus Christ as his Savior and Redeemer. He was an apostolic witness of the resurrection of Jesus Christ." (Thank you paul&katie for posting this.)

If you go to the official LDS site, you will find the following articles of faith:

    1. We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.
    2. We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam's transgression.
    3. We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.
    4. We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost.
    5. We believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority, to preach the Gospel and administer in the ordinances thereof.
    6. We believe in the same organization that existed in the Primitive Church, namely, apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and so forth.
    7. We believe in the gift of tongues, prophecy, revelation, visions, healing, interpretation of tongues, and so forth.
    8. We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.
    9. We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.
    10. We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory.
    11. We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.
    12. We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law.
    13. We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

Sounds wonderful, right? However, this listing of their articles of faith is more for the perusal of outsiders than the adherence of insiders. True Mormons actually are taught and believe the following:

    1. Atonement

    A. "Jesus paid for all our sins when He suffered in the Garden of Gethsemane," (Laurel Rohlfing, “Sharing Time: The Atonement,” Friend, Mar. 1989, p. 39.).

    B. "We accept Christ's atonement by repenting of our sins, being baptized, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and obeying all of the commandments," (Gospel Principles, Corporation of the President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1979, p. 68.).

    2. Baptism

    A. Baptism for the dead, (Doctrines of Salvation, vol. II, p. 141). This is a practice of baptizing each other in place of non-Mormons who are now dead. Their belief is that in the afterlife, the "newly baptized" person will be able to enter into a higher level of Mormon heaven.

    3. Bible

    A. We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly. . ." (8th Article of Faith of the Mormon Church).

    B. "Wherefore, thou seest that after the book hath gone forth through the hands of the great and abominable church, that there are many plain and precious things taken away from the book, which is the book of the Lamb of God," (1 Nephi 13:28).

    4. Book of Mormon

    A. The book of Mormon is more correct than the Bible, (History of the Church, 4:461).

    5. Devil, the

    A. The Devil was born as a spirit after Jesus "in the morning of pre-existence," (Mormon Doctrine, p. 192).

    B. Jesus and Satan are spirit brothers and we were all born as siblings in heaven to them both, (Mormon Doctrine, p. 163).

    C. A plan of salvation was needed for the people of earth so Jesus offered a plan to the Father and Satan offered a plan to the father but Jesus' plan was accepted. In effect the Devil wanted to be the Savior of all Mankind and to "deny men their agency and to dethrone god," (Mormon Doctrine, p. 193; Journal of Discourses, vol. 6, p. 8).

    6. God

    A. God used to be a man on another planet, (Mormon Doctrine, p. 321; Joseph Smith, Times and Seasons, vol. 5, p. 613-614; Orson Pratt, Journal of Discourses, vol. 2, p. 345; Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, vol. 7, p. 333).

    B. "The Father has a body of flesh and bones as tangible as man’s..." (D&C 130:22).

    C. God is in the form of a man, (Joseph Smith, Journal of Discourses, vol. 6, p. 3).

    D. "God himself was once as we are now, and is an exalted man, and sits enthroned in yonder heavens!!! . . . We have imagined that God was God from all eternity. I will refute that idea and take away the veil, so that you may see," (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 345).

    E. God the Father had a Father, (Joseph Smith, History of the Church, vol. 6, p. 476; Heber C. Kimball, Journal of Discourses, vol. 5, p. 19; Milton Hunter, First Council of the Seventy, Gospel through the Ages, p. 104-105).
    F. God resides near a star called Kolob, (Pearl of Great Price, p. 34-35; Mormon Doctrine, p. 428).

    G. God had sexual relations with Mary to make the body of Jesus, (Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, vol. 4, 1857, p. 218; vol. 8, p. 115). - This one is disputed among many Mormons and not always 'officially' taught and believed. Nevertheless, Young, the 2nd prophet of the Mormon church taught it.

    H. "Therefore we know that both the Father and the Son are in form and stature perfect men; each of them possesses a tangible body . . . of flesh and bones." (Articles of Faith, by James Talmage, p. 38).

    7. God, becoming a god

    A. After you become a good Mormon, you have the potential of becoming a god, (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 345-347, 354.)

    B. "Then shall they be gods, because they have no end; therefore shall they be from everlasting to everlasting, because they continue; then shall they be above all, because all things are subject unto them. Then shall they be gods, because they have all power, and the angels are subject unto them," (D&C 132:20).

    8. God, many gods

    A. There are many gods, (Mormon Doctrine, p. 163).

    B. "And they (the Gods) said: Let there be light: and there was light," (Book of Abraham 4:3).

    9. God, mother goddess

    A. There is a mother god, (Articles of Faith, by James Talmage, p. 443).

    B. God is married to his goddess wife and has spirit children, (Mormon Doctrine, p. 516).

    10. God, Trinity

    A. The trinity is three separate Gods: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. "That these three are separate individuals, physically distinct from each other, is demonstrated by the accepted records of divine dealings with man," (Articles of Faith, by James Talmage, p. 35).

    11. Gospel, the

    A. The true gospel was lost from the earth. Mormonism is its restoration, (Articles of Faith, by James Talmage, p. 182-185.)

    B. Consists of laws and ordinances: "As these sins are the result of individual acts it is just that forgiveness for them should be conditioned on individual compliance with prescribed requirements -- 'obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel,'" (Articles of Faith, p. 79)

    12. Heaven

    A. There are three levels of heaven: telestial, terrestrial, and celestial, (Mormon Doctrine, p. 348).

    13. Holy Ghost, the

    A. The Holy Ghost is a male personage, A Marvelous Work and a Wonder, (Le Grand Richards, Salt Lake City, 1956, p. 118; Journal of Discourses, vol. 5, p. 179).

    14. Jesus

    A. The first spirit to be born in heaven was Jesus, (Mormon Doctrine, p. 129).

    B. Jesus and Satan are spirit brothers and we were all born as siblings in heaven to them both, (Mormon Doctrine, p. 163; Gospel Through the Ages, p. 15).

    C. Jesus' sacrifice was not able to cleanse us from all our sins, (murder and repeated adultery are exceptions), (Journal of Discourses, vol. 3, 1856, p. 247).

    D. "Therefore we know that both the Father and the Son are in form and stature perfect men; each of them possesses a tangible body . . . of flesh and bones," (Articles of Faith, by James Talmage, p. 38).

    E. "The birth of the Saviour was as natural as are the births of our children; it was the result of natural action. He partook of flesh and blood - was begotten of his Father, as we were of our fathers," (Journal of Discourses, vol. 8, p. 115).

    F. "Christ was begotten by an Immortal Father in the same way that mortal men are begotten by mortal fathers," (Mormon Doctrine, by Bruce McConkie, p. 547).

    G. "Christ Not Begotten of Holy Ghost ...Christ was begotten of God. He was not born without the aid of Man, and that Man was God!" (Doctrines of Salvation, by Joseph Fielding Smith, 1954, 1:18).

    H. "Elohim is literally the Father of the spirit of Jesus Christ and also of the body in which Jesus Christ performed His mission in the flesh..." (First Presidency and Council of the Twelve, 1916, "God the Father," compiled by Gordon Allred, p. 150).

    15. Joseph Smith

    A. If it had not been for Joseph Smith and the restoration, there would be no salvation. There is no salvation [the context is the full gospel including exaltation to Godhood] outside the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, (Mormon Doctrine, p. 670).

    16. Pre-existence

    A. We were first begotten as spirit children in heaven and then born naturally on earth, (Journal of Discourse, vol. 4, p. 218).

    B. The first spirit to be born in heaven was Jesus, (Mormon Doctrine, p. 129).

    C. The Devil was born as a spirit after Jesus "in the morning of pre-existence," (Mormon Doctrine, p. 192).

    17. Prophets

    A. We need prophets today, the same as in the Old Testament, (Articles of Faith, by James Talmage, p. 444-445).

    18. Salvation

    A. "One of the most fallacious doctrines originated by Satan and propounded by man is that man is saved alone by the grace of God; that belief in Jesus Christ alone is all that is needed for salvation," (Miracle of Forgiveness, Spencer W. Kimball, p. 206).

    C. Jesus' sacrifice was not able to cleanse us from all our sins, (murder and repeated adultery are exceptions), (Journal of Discourses, vol. 3, 1856, p. 247).

    D. Good works are necessary for salvation (Articles of Faith, by James Talmage, p. 92).

    E. There is no salvation without accepting Joseph Smith as a prophet of God (Doctrines of Salvation, vol. 1, p. 188).

    F. "The first effect [of the atonement] is to secure to all mankind alike, exemption from the penalty of the fall, thus providing a plan of General Salvation. The second effect is to open a way for Individual Salvation whereby mankind may secure remission of personal sins (Articles of Faith, by James Talmage, p. 78-79).

    G. "As these sins are the result of individual acts it is just that forgiveness for them should be conditioned on individual compliance with prescribed requirements -- 'obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel,'" (Articles of Faith, by James Talmage, p. 79).

    H. "This grace is an enabling power that allows men and women to lay hold on eternal life and exaltation after they have expended their own best efforts," (LDS Bible Dictionary, p. 697).

    I. "We know that it is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do," (2 Nephi 25:23).

    19. Trinity, the

    A. The trinity is three separate Gods: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. "That these three are separate individuals, physically distinct from each other, is demonstrated by the accepted records of divine dealings with man," (Articles of Faith, by James Talmage, p. 35.).

    B. "Many men say there is one God; the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost are only one God. I say that is a strange God [anyhow]--three in one and one in three. . .It is curious organization… All are crammed into one God according to sectarianism (Christian faith). It would make the biggest God in all the world. He would be a wonderfully big God--he would be a giant or a monster," (Joseph Smith, Teachings, p. 372).

    20. Blood of Christ, the

    A. The blood of Christ is only of limited value. Blood atonement is not the doctrine related to Christ’s blood cleansing men of all sins, but rather the doctrine that some sins are so severe that man must pay for them sith his own blood.

    B. "2nd LDS Prophet Brigham Young taught, "There is not a man or a woman, who violates the covenants made with their God, that will not be required to pay the debt. The blood of Christ will never wipe that out, your own blood must atone for it; and the judgments of the Almighty will come, sooner or later, and every man or woman will have to atone for breaking their covenants (Discourses of Brigham Young, p385).

    C. Mormon Apostle Bruce McConkie wrote, "But under certain circumstances there are some serious sins for which the cleansing of Christ does not operate, and the law of God is that men have their own blood shed to atone for their sins" (Mormon Doctrine p. 92.).

(Most of that information is courtesy of CARM (The Christian Apologetics and Research Ministry).

I could go on and on. Dave Hunt and Ed Decker (a former LDS believer) have written an excellent book on the subject entitled "The God Makers" (which is now revised as "The God Makers II".) And there is no end to sites that expose the truth of the Mormon church. The fact is that the LDS church was founded by a liar and con man by the name of Joseph Smith who fabricated a fantastic story about the gospel being lost, Jesus having come to the New World to witness to the Indians who are actually the lost tribes of Israel and that there was once a vast civilization on this continent. He further taught that God had picked him (since he was a direct lineal descendant of Jesus Christ as a result of Jesus having slept with Mary Magdalene) to restore the gospel that the churches had destroyed, and that if people followed him (not to mention pay tithes to his organization) only then could they be saved. and not just saved, but could actually become gods (men only) each with his own universe to populate and rule over.

If you are truly saved and thus have the Holy Spirit living within you, then you will not be fooled by the claims of the LDS church.

    In 2nd Amendment lingo.........That would be a double-tap
Consider the words of Omar M. Ahmad, founder of CAIR: "Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant." ... "The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America , and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth."

I am a Christian (washed in the Blood of Christ) but I am thankful that we have someone like Glen Beck trying to get people to turn to God. I watched his show today and heard some praising Jesus for their salvation. Here's a link to one who gave a good testimony on the show today and He was allowed to give the closing prayer on 8-28-2010, watch that and you will see he praised Jesus and the singers right after him praised Jesus. Dave Roever | Facebook

2 or 3 million people heard the show today and since the 2 Born again Christians that was on there quoted some scripture and God's word will not return unto Him void, I think someone might have been saved today.

I will admit I do not know as much about Mormans as many here but I do believe God can save them to. Glen Beck was a Catholic and now a Morman and possibly may meet Jesus soon and become a Christian. In the link I gave, the guy (Dave) praying mentions the 8-28 rally and Romans 8:28

    Romans 8:28 (King James Version)

28And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Also watch this video at around 11:28 in the video where he talks about Jesus

There are some interviews on YouTube of the rally. Most of the people were not really spiritually in depth people. But they had a hunger for things spiritual. It looks like the harvest of the 60s and 70s is starting to happen. People look around and see all the unhealthy stuff going on in this country and wonder why the political wizards can't seem to do anything about the ills of society. Why all they get is lies from their elected officials. Why the judicial system is going amiss.

Over 500,000 people packed up and went to Washington DC to hear the one person that hammers out the ills of this country, and world day after day. This person that says he has the answer. He says that we need to get back to our roots our God fearing roots.

    Billym -

I watched GB today (Friday 9/3)

Dave Roever is ON FIRE for the Lord!! Brought tears!

Never-the -less the split four screen conversation included a Mormon, a Jew (rabbi?), the Missional guy from San Diego, and Dave Roever (truely born-twice).

Given a choice, I prefer 100 watts versus 25 watts.

I still pray for GB and family, however if you read the whole thread, it shows Mormons are clearly referencing a different Jesus. Not the Jesus of Nazareth, nor of the Jesus of Colossians 1:15-20.

Late entry.....look here Billym Questions for Glenn Beck

I just wonder if we aren't missing an opportunity here? An interview on YouTube brought out two facts people attended for two reasons. Spiritual hunger and the truth about why America is in the shape it is in. Most didn't even notice not praying in Jesus Name is an issue. They are hungry for the truth.

23 For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.
    24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
    25 Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;
    26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;
27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:
28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.
30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
32 And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked: and others said, We will hear thee again of this matter.
33 So Paul departed from among them.
34 Howbeit certain men clave unto him, and believed: among the which was Dionysius the Areopagite, and a woman named Damaris, and others with them. Acts 17:23-34 (KJV)

Shouldn't we rather be looking at the condition of the folks and why they follow Glen Beck.

35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.
    John 4:35 (KJV)

If we are real Christians our testimony should be able to convince people that our faith is real and makes a difference in our lives.

2 Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.
    Luke 10:2 (KJV)

I would like Beck to respond to your questions and I would also prefer 100 watts but i am so glad that Dave's message got on the air. I still think Glen can be reached for the Lord and doing what he is doing, there is certainly the opportunity he will come into contact with devout men of God like Dave who will share their testimony with Glen and the world. I do know the prayers of the righteous availeth so I hope everyone here will pray for our country.
