Every now and then we get a few articles that really makes the hair on the back of my neck stick up. Over the past two days we have definitely gotten two of those kind of articles in the news reports. The first article comes from the Jerusalem Post and the title cites Syria as saying that the next war will be "ruinous" for those involved. Folks, this is the same wording used by the Bible in Isaiah 17 to described the destruction of Damascus. As we know Damascus is the world's longest constantly inhabited city in the world. Just take a look at the news article and what it reports:
With the terrorist proxy organizations obtaining more powerful arms and missiles to fire towards Israel, the region truly is on the verge of a significant war in the future. Couple this with the recent defense pacts between Syria and Iran with the terrorist groups, and we certainly see that we have a recipe for disaster in the near term future.Syrian Prime Minister Naji al-Otari on Saturday warned Israel that any new Mideast war would be catastrophic for the region and beyond. Speaking to reporters Saturday after meeting with French Prime Minister Francois Fillon, he said that a new war will have dangerous repercussions not only in the Middle East but also on the international level. Syria's foreign minister warned Israel earlier this month that any new war would reach Israeli cities, to which Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman responded that the Syrian army would be defeated and its regime would collapse in any future conflict.
Another article that goes to show how far the enemies of Israel are going to prepare for the next round of fighting, it is being reported in the Israel National News that the terrorists are preparing parking lots on the border between Lebanon and Syria for the explicit reason of parking Syrian tanks there in case of a breakout in hostilities between Israel and the Islamists. The INN article reports:
Thousands of years ago the prophet Isaiah warned that a day would come when Damascus became a ruinous heap and ceased to be a city. The words of the prophet were:The sounds of explosions heard along the Lebanese-Syrian border in recent days were caused by the blasting of big rocks in the area to make a parking lot for Syrian army tanks, according to the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Siyasa. The paper cited a Lebanese army source which said the blasts were conducted by the men of terrorist Ahmed Jibril Rajoub's pro-Syrian Popular Front terror organization. The tanks are expected to arrive in the area soon to protect Lebanon for fear of an Israeli attack.
With recent news reports showing a constant state of cooperation between the Assad regime in Syria and the terrorist organizations on the borders of Israel, it does not take a lot of imagination to picture the soon to be fulfillments of Isaiah 17 and possibly Psalm 83. The hatred the Islamists have for Israel essentially knows no bounds and in the end they will be judged by the God of Israel for their longstanding anti-semitism and desire to destroy the chosen people of God. The Bible declares that once the Lord regathers his chosen people into the land a second time that he will not allow them to be destroyed or dispersed again. So for that reason we can have confidence that no matter what the enemies of Israel do to plot against Israel, God will see to it that they do not succeed.Isa 17:1 The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from [being] a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.
With new reports like these coming out pretty regularly, I would like to encourage everyone to keep their eyes opened and remain sober as we could see a soon to be fulfillment of prophecy as foretold by the prophet Isaiah. As we get closer and closer to the end of the last days, we can expect the "birth pains" to increase and get more intense with each passing day. Keep looking up for the blessed hope of the rapture, the Bible tells us that as we see these things coming to pass, to lift up our heads as our redemption is drawing nigh.
God bless.
