Thought On "Wars and Rumors of Wars"...

I was thinking, and I want to know your opinions on this...

All prophecy of Christ's 2nd Coming centers on Israel for the real heavy stuff, the titled Last Days, as opposed to those of a more general scope. Would that be a fair assessment? If so, then this is what I was thinking...

We have had wars and rumors of wars for centuries, but what we are seeing right now is a huge step up in this prophecy today. Unless you are living under a rock, you know what is going on in the ME right now. However, the blatent fact is that all the current rumors are centered on Iran and its allies (Hezbollah, Hamas, Al Qaida, et al) and Israel and her allies (the US and UK). In fact, there are other wars and stuff going on in the world, but none are really receiving much attention.

Is it possible that what we are seeing is God's way of fulfilling Matthew 24/Luke 21 in vivid detail with the whole world essentially watching Israel and Iran and all the 'rumors' associated with it? In otherwords, the wars and rumors of wars prophecy could be speaking directly of when you see it in relation to Israel, God's timepiece for history...

We've been hearing about the Superbowl since the preseason of the NFL last year. You wouldn't hear about it on SportsCenter EVERYDAY, or even EVERYWEEK...it just wasn't an issue, YET.

NOW...as we got closer to the Superbowl, you would hear about the teams that are in contention...you still know the Superbowl is coming, but it really isn't still an issue.

RIGHT NOW...all you are hearing about on SportCenter is the Superbowl. They're talking about the matchup and not only on SportCenter, but in all other news and the paper. YOU KNOW IT IS ONLY A FEW WEEKS AWAY!!

That's kinda the way I see it...since Israel is on the news consistantly, and everything is revolving around that little country that most of the world would think means nothing, but really means everything to everyone.

I have been a "nay sayer" for years about all the specualtions, but I feel God is now smacking me in the head saying "Don't be dumb...you're going to see me and what I'm doing in everthing you watch right now!"

I think that you're right. Israel is God's time-piece.
