    Default Has anyone seen this?

I've seen it a couple of times, quite interesting. Cash is quickly becoming a thing of the past.

It's on TV....showing a food shop serving food, people are using their visa cash cards to pay...and then a man comes up to counter with cash...everything stops...stops the flow of things....

and that's about the way things are today...everyone uses plastic ...

I get Social Security and Retirement...I never see a check, or any cash...direct deposit...I don't like it...but that's the way things are done today...

    :woah:

I don't remember any mention in the commercial about it being a "gift card", but that's not the point as there's nothing wrong with it as far as evil or something like that.

My point is how they are now making a "visa card" easily available to anyone so everyone can get in on this faster buying, swiping frenzy. Many parents have now gotten a debit card for their children.....thus helping to do away with cash as well and driving us into an electronic/cashless society.

is cashless really a forward towards anything? granted cash is becoming quite rare but... so?

i hated carrying cash after i was held at gunpoint and 80 bucks was taken from me. now if my card is stolen, i can cut it off and the money will be replaced.

    is that bad?

Well, purchasing through credit cards makes it much easier for the government to track what you buy, and I saw an article that wrote about in the future your purchasing power can be stopped with the automatic cashless transactions so IMO this is just another step in the direction of the future empire the AC will control if you don't take the mark. I'm just thinking the idea of using a debit card is just more conditioning for us to accept the new way to buy and sell when it is time. While a cashless society has its good sides I think it's just more traps being set for the future world governance. Just my opinion. Hope that makes sense.
