Kezzer, in case you're still around, I just wanted to tell you one thing. Jesus died for you.
6For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
7For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
8But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:6-8
He died for you personally.
To take away your sins.
That's how much sin matters to God. It cost Him His own dear Son's life blood. Every drop of it. He suffered the agony and torture of the cross and Hell for you. And me. He did that so that you would not have to go to Hell and could be forgiven of your sins and made right with God thru faith in Jesus Christ. What are you going to do with His Son? What will you do with Him who died for you? Will you turn Him away and sin against the love of God? He loves you so much that He died for you. He did that to save you if you'll only turn to Him and turn away from your sin. Jesus died to take away your sin, not so that you can keep on sinning. Do not turn Him away but turn to Him today.
Listen, He loves you and He died for you.
But they that wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
when I read this I was reminded of something I have tried hard to forget
that I saw and learned as a young'in
my oldest brother used to be a wild one
and he was severely intoxicated and driving around the road doing a crazy rate of speed
and before he made it the third time back around the road
something come over me and I ran home from my Grandmothers across the Hay fields
and grabbed my mother and older sister from the kitchen and said straight out to them
"He is going to kill himself "!!
I just knew he was not going to make it the third run
My Mother , me , my twin ,and older sister , was in the front yard hearing him coming around the mountain again . It was obvious from the sound he had it wide open on the gas pedal only
my mother yelled as loud as she could
stand together hands bound one to another OOH LORD God Help us
"children pray" "children pray"
and we did as she said
No sooner than my Mother had said "In the name of Jesus we ask it Father in heaven "
his truck hit the cliff of the mountain and we saw a fireball explosion paint the sky
he had crashed .
Then we saw a white streak of lightening
it was so fast were not sure what it was
still to this day dont know
but it was broad daylight ,no rain in sight and a clear day
we ran to the top of the mountain road we knew he crashed on
he was laying on the opposite side of the road
from where his truck was heaped in a unrecognizable burning heap
from a head on collision with a mammoth rock jutting out from an obvious mountain
He was a bloody mess ,but alive and unburned
Then we saw our neighbor sitting a few foot above him starring with eyes bigger then Ive ever seen
trembling like a leaf and unable to speakwhat a sight he was
Later after my brother was taken by ambulance to a hospital and then relocated later to a better more equipped Hospital better than just a first aid band aid station , we got a visit from our neighbor
He said he saw the entire crash and explosion
He said he saw a white bolt of something that resembled lightning but was not lightning
pierce into the heart of the explosion and then he heard my brother moaning on the opposite side of the road .
He went on to say , that a Angel toted him and laid him on the side of the road where we found him
that he was not thrown that distance , but he was carried
the man that said he seen this was a unbeliever at that time and bad to drink as well
and now he is a absolute believer in Jesus
Personally
Ive always known within my soul and heart
had we not of prayed holding hands for my brother at that exact moment and day
my parents would have buried my brother
I believe the man seen what he told us he seen
something supernatural that saved my brother from
an explosion and burning heap of metal so hot , it seared the blacktop pavement, and part of the rock jutting out the truck hit
my Mother has always claimed that God intervened and sparred his life
because we prayed as she ask us to and that God is faster than lightning
because it was a actual nano second that it all occurred
I caught a glimpse of a white rod
so fast I never fully seen it
yet I am convinced it was God intervening
The medical doctors marvel that my brother was alive and speaking
he had some serious injures and pain from the crash
but was very alive still
can things appear from nowhere in the sky
yes
I never seen but a glimpse
it was to swift to gaze upon
yet I am convinced
God heard us and seen us praying that day
holding hands bounds to one another in prayer
That my brother's life would not be swiftly taken from him
and God must of sent that white rod of extreme light
that flew by us so fast were not sure what we seen
Amazing testimony, EM! But I believe every word of it. I could tell you a few tales myself that I or a close family member have witnessed or been part of. These are the supernatural things that God sometimes does for His own purposes.
The sad thing—and the reason we frown on subjective experience threads is that people often make these wonders more important in their lives and go around seeking gifts, and signs and wonders. We are only to seek the Giver. He will work His wonders when and as He wills. And that goes for gifts as well.
But this thread, as a testimony to the grace and mercy of God, is worth keeping. I just pray that all who post here in future do so in the spirit of glorifying God and not in the spirit of glorying in experience.

"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." Matthew 6:19-21
I just pray that all who post here in future do so in the spirit of glorifying God and not in the spirit of glorying in experience.right on Brother Matt
we must always have the spirit of truth bearing witness Glorifying God on high .
God is always seeking the ultimate Good for us here on earth , which is salvation of a soul .
Ive thought a lot on why healing often does not happen and I reckon God knows that
the real everlasting higher good is and always will be salvation of a soul
I'm so grateful to God that he hears us when we pray to him in emergency type situations
yet moreover I am more grateful that afterwords my brother did come to Jesus and was saved
and transformed from how he was as a sinner .
And he was very different so much so some folks said they did not recognize him as him anymore
of course he did have to suffer through the bad times of learning hard lessons like dont drink and drive
and he was not sparred from some injuries broke jaw , broke arm and leg , some lacerations and a hurt back , but he did live
Once after the accident my brother had was all over one night my Mother was reading a passage in the Bible and she suddenly stopped and gazed a long while and them told us that God gave parents the responsibility of raising up
eternal souls that would spend eternity somewhere
and then said .... " It presses me to demand of you children that you take heed and take to heart just how I feel about all of your eternal souls . " Ive turned you over to Jesus for inspection ,and pray fervently that Ive not left my greatest of duties undone for true salvation is your higher good in this world , so dont ever expect you can cut short the time of reading this Blessed Holy Book .
she meant what she told us
Im glad for that precious time she made us put in
I guess even the times of trouble trouble and chapters was dolled out generously
I reckon it didn't hurt as much as we acted it did![]()
thanks to everyone here for believing my story! I am beginning to believe more and more as the days go by. There were so many responses so sorry if I didn't get back to your comment.
I watched that video the 'are you a good person' one and yeah, I've done all the bad in that video. This may not come from the bible but this is my belief. If your a good person in general, you give your seat up for an elderly lady on the bus, take your little sister out to have fun, get your mum a drink .. just lot's of random little things. Then you'll go to heaven. Like people have previously stated, were all sinners, Jesus was perfect and nobody else will be. I am going to continue to be a better person and will begin to read the bible to get a better insight into things.
By the way ^^ that story that someone wrote (About the car crash) wow, amazing! you should be so thankful!
Keep in mind God is not a corrupt judge, and He cannot let you into His kingdom if you don't turn to Him and put your faith in Jesus Christ for your salvation, *no matter how many good deeds you do*. If we could earn our way to heaven, Jesus wouldn't have had to die for us. I hope you'll think about this in the most serious way, because what you do with Jesus Christ's sacrifice is the most important decision you'll ever make.
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. - Ephesians 2:8-9

Hi kezzer,
I kinda' thought you may have gone away for the weekend, so welcome back.
Please read these verses very carefully, they are from the New International Version of the Bible. This is from the Gospel of John Chapter 3, verses 16 through 18.
This is so simple that even I can understand it.“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,f that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.The most significant verse is the first one, as it tells us exactly what we need to do. We simply need to believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God the Father, did in fact come to Earth in human form, died for us on the Cross, and was then resurrected from the dead. If we simply believe that, He says that we will have eternal life.
You'll notice it doesn't say that we have to do any good deeds, or anything like that. Jesus already did all that was necessary for us to get to Heaven. Isn't that cool? And all we have to do is believe it.
One more thing, I hope you don't think we're a bunch of holier than thou kinda' folks here. I'm probably a much worse sinner than you, and this is the first post on this forum where I have actually quoted chapter and verse to someone else. And you know what? It feels pretty good.It feels good in the same way that helping old ladies across the street feels, only this feels so much better!
Hang in there, kezzer.......
Ephesians 5:18 (New King James Version)
18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit,
I Come To The Garden Alone Hymn
And He walks with me, and He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own;
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.
The problem with that, my dear friend, is that if what we believe comes from our own ideas how do we know we are correct? Because it makes sense to us? Because it feels right? Because it just seems right? The Bible tells us that "There is a way that seems right to a man but its end is the way of death." (Proverbs 16:25) Now if a man wrote that, I might or might not believe him. However it was not a man who wrote that but God Himself. You see, the Bible is a record of God's Word to man. Over and over for thousands of years men have tried to pick the Bible apart, to prove it has errors, to prove that it is just the ideas of man. I know. I was one who tried to do just that. But an honest study of the subject will lead the honest heart and the open mind to the firm and unshakable realization that the Bible is indeed the Word of God ... true in EVERY aspect.
Therefore ... what does the Bible—the very words of God Himself—say is the ONLY way to get into heaven? Is it by doing good deeds? No. In fact it says that the best, the most righteous, good deeds that a person can do are just like used menstrual rags in God's eyes. (Isaiah 64:6) Not that He despises natural body functions but rather He is saying that just as such a filthy rag would be offensive to us, even so our good deeds as a means of salvation are unpleasant to God.
By our very nature we are impure beings ... and once we have sinned we have to pay for that sin. But how can we pay when the penalty for any sin against God is to be cut off from him forever? So we have a problem. We are sinners ... ALL of us. Not one of us is free from sin. (Romans 3:23) And the penalty for that sin is death. (Romans 6:23). It would appear that we are in a hopeless cycle. We are sinners, the penalty is death, and even our most righteous deeds cannot please God and pay for our sin. So what is the answer?
Well the Bible tells us that with man there IS no answer. We are lost with no hope.
BUT!
But God loved us—His Creation, made in His image—so much that He made a way for us. That's the often quoted verse we know as John 3:16— "For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him would not perish but have everlasting life." Think about that for a second and understand what it means. That is the marvel of the gospel ... which is an old-fashioned word meaning "good news". The good news that we DO have hope in what appears to be a hopeless situation.
It really IS good news, isn't it?! Here we were, under the penalty of eternal death, with no hope of being able to save ourselves, and God says "Do not despair! I will save you. I will pay the penalty myself so you can go free and live with me forever in my Heaven." And all it takes is for us to believe—REALLY believe—in our heart (our innermost being) that Jesus Christ is God who came in the flesh and died as a sacrifice, substituting himself for us, to pay the penalty for our sins. In Paul's letter to the church at Rome the Holy Spirit put the following words into Paul's mind: "If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation." (Romans 10:9-10)
So you see salvation is a free gift. And this marvelous gift is available simply by believing that Jesus is the Son of God and died to save us. By being received by faith and not by works or wisdom or any other thing it accomplishes two things.
First, it removes any chance of boasting, of thinking that somehow we are better than the next person because we do better deeds or are more "holy". In fact in the letter to the church at Ephesus, the Holy Spirit inspired Paul to write: "By grace (unmerited favor) you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast ((Ephesians 2:8-9) .... In Christ we have redemption (restoration with God) through His blood, the forgiveness of our sins, according to the riches of His grace which He lavished on us." (Ephesians 1:7-8a)
Second, by basing salvation on faith alone, God has ensured that is open to the least intelligent person not just the smart, the simplest person not just the learned, the poorest person not just the rich, the weakest person not just the strong. In fact people who are learned, intelligent, rich, and powerful often fail to receive God's great salvation because it seems too simple to them. They cannot lower themselves enough to receive it. They think they are too smart, wise, good, whatever, to have to go that way. They think they deserve it by their efforts, even though God says they cannot. Not ever!
Now good deeds do have their place. In fact a Christian WILL do good deeds. But he or she does them because they ARE saved and the Spirit of Jesus Christ lives inside them leading them to do good; they don't do the good deeds in order to BECOME saved. That is backward. In other words the cart of good deeds follows the horse of salvation. The horse of salvation does not follow the cart of good deeds. The horse always pulls the cart, not vice versa.
So, my friend, I hear what you are saying about your idea that by doing good deeds you will be accepted into Heaven. But I am afraid God Himself says, over and over in His Word: "No way. Can't be done." However, He also tells us He made THE way for us. The question is will you choose HIS way? Or think your way is better?
In Christ,
Matt

Kezzer, you see, God is a just judge. If you were standing in a courtroom and accused of a heinous crime.... sy you stole large sums of money from a store then slit several emplyees throats in cold blood, what should the judge Do? You can't just say, but judge I gave money to local charities and gave up my own seat to ladies on Sunday, and besides it was years since I did it and I'm so sorry. I will never do it again. Well if he's a just judge he must punish you for your crimes, Right? You see, God is a just and righteous judge too. He requires truth in the inward parts, the thoughts and heart motives. God sees all of that. Jesus was te only one, the Son of God, who was fully wihout sin and perfect. He died on the cross to take away your sin and you can reciecieve his righteousness thru faith in Him. I'm praying for you.
But they that wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
This is how you ask Jesus into your life.
“Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from you. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward you. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.”
If you were charged with the crime of being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you?
Kezzer
the Book of John is excellent to begin with reading
It will give you understandingand yes I am so Grateful for God's
merciful interventionThere is nothing greater in my life than
the personal relationship I have with Jesus .He has never left me or forsaken me
and brought me through so many dangers I praise him daily![]()
without Jesus helping me ,I would be in a real serious mess with no hope
The greatest book you will ever read is God's Holy word
I'm still reading it to gain understanding . It has given me more than I could
have ever ask for
Just reading the thoughts shared in this thread. I don't think the issue hear is discerning what was seen by this gentleman. Rather, it is point to the message. There is a choice you face. The way of God and Jesus or the way of world and devil. See God gives us each every chance to repent and surrender.
You referenced "being Christian" but my friend, you have not being following Jesus as Lord. You may "believe" in the "facts" but it has not mattered in your life. You have not surrendered to the King of Kings and accepted Jesus as Lord.
Today is the day sir. You still have time as long as it is today. Life or death. Choice is yours.
As to your being a nice guy. Would you consider yourself selfish or not?
Would you agree that you have lied?
Coveted?
Have you taken God's name in vain?
Go through the 10 commandments and examine? If you do not measure up, then you miss the mark. But it should not be about the fear, but about wanting to be in relationship with the Creator.
Time is now to choose....
True peace is not the absence of pain or suffering but only found in full surrender to the King of Kings
I feel led to add more to this thread.
kezzer,
It's more than just believing in the existence of God, the devil believes in Gods existence. But, we must ask God into our lives, to lead us, direct us, and guide us. In short, to be our Lord and Master.
As peacebringer said,Then as Twinklingofaneye said, "This is how you ask Jesus into your life."You referenced "being Christian" but my friend, you have not being following Jesus as Lord. You may "believe" in the "facts" but it has not mattered in your life. You have not surrendered to the King of Kings and accepted Jesus as Lord.
There are many prayers you can say in this regard. and the words don't really matter all that much, what matters is what is in your heart. And only God and you know what that is.“Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from you.
Now, part of Mattfivefour's post was a quote from Romans 10:9-10 which said,This verse is almost as simple as John 3:16"If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation." (Romans 10:9-10). It simply says that if you say out loud that Jesus is your Lord, and believe that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. How simple is that? The rest of the verse explains how simple this really is.
Ephesians 5:18 (New King James Version)
18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit,
I Come To The Garden Alone Hymn
And He walks with me, and He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own;
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.
We see the devil everyday in a multitude of forms, so yes without doubt if the Almighty wishes to show himself then it is without doubt possible.
