Hey, God did something really amazing yesterday!!!! As you know, Iím leaving for college in the fall. For a while I was really excited for it, but during the past week & a half, I began to have some reservations about going, particularly in light of last fall being my last season with the Wheaton football team, which looking back, was one of the greatest experiences of my life. During this time of doubt & stress, I asked for Godís guidance, which was about a week ago. Well, on Sunday, our pastor was beginning a series on Joshua, particularly focusing on the issue of change, with our church moving & all & God really spoke to me through our pastorís message, particularly when he read Joshua 1:9, ďHave I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go." That was really a comfort to me & it truly was an act of God that our pastor was giving this sermon when I needed to hear it.
Well, I sent this message to several friends of mine (most of them being Wheaton football players) last night. This evening I got his response from one of the football players, demonstrating how God has timing worked out perfectly:
"Thank you for the message. I am going through a similar time of change and this is comforting. Trust is something I have been praying about. I will pray that you continue to follow God's message to you."
