    Default Our time is coming.

With all the cries for new hate crimes laws being sounded across this country it will not be long before we as the Body of Christ will suffer severe persecution i. e. heavy fines, jail or prison time for speaking the word of God.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. :prayer

    Good post, zionist.

I'm not claiming to be any kind of a prophet (God forbid!) and I'm not trying to spread fear ... but, folks, persecution of the true followers of Jesus Christ is the coming reality .. a reality that is already here but is gathering momentum.

Those of us who stand for the eternal truth of God's Word and reject all attempts to change, weaken, alter, or twist it to something other than what it is will indeed be the recipients of scorn; rejection; character attacks; and far, far worse. I truly believe that we will be the victims of severe persecution, a persecution that will be spearheaded by the so-called Evangelical church and its leaders who have become what is now termed the Emergent church.

We who stick to God's Word as it has always been understood have been seen as fossils resisting the logical move to 21st century Christianity. Now we are coming to be viewed as disruptive elements that must be marginalized and silenced for the sake of the "Church". And if you doubt that, then educate yourself as to what Rick Walker is saying and what his organization is doing to silence or destroy all those whom they view as resisters to the Purpose Driven truth. And it won't be long before what we say will be called a crime and we will be punished. It's already happened in a couple of isolated cases in Canada and in the UK.

Brothers and sisters, Jesus Himself foretold this persecution. And we need to be prepared for it by knowing our Bible and knowing the God we serve. If we do, and if we remain in Him, we need not fear regardless of what may come. For God has said He will give us what to say at the right time. And when our work is done, we have His Word that He will take each one of us home. So, let us comfort ourselves with that promise, since we are assured that He never changes, He never fails, He cannot lie, and no man can ever pluck us out of His hand.

Glory to God!!! We are 100% secure in Him ... in this world ... and in the next.

:iagree and once again Matt an excellent post it brother! I am praising God everyday for the security in Him that I have

Psalm 118:6 The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?

Psalm 56:11 In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.

Romans 6:20-23 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. Luke12:40

God has promised he will make a way out.
God told me that he’ll give me this day my daily bread.
He will restore to me what is being taken.
When you give, does not the Lord give to you?
    YES HE DOES!
    Why worry about tomorrow?
Does not the Lord’s Word tell us that we do not even know if there will be a tomorrow?
Does not is also say that today has enough cares of it’s own?
    YES!
All these things are going to pass away. Therefore, what are you placing your trust in? Money? Worldly treasures? Why store up your treasures on Earth instead of in heaven?
Do you not know that the treasures in Heaven far outweigh that of the Earth?
The Earth will be no more. I am coming!
Do you not care about the Kingdom to come?
Put away your idols! Cast your cares on me alone!
It is I who created you. Who cares for you more than any other.
Put away your petty arguments with one another.
Love one another as I have loved you.
Time is drawing nearer. I will come back.
Have I ever spoken a promise that I have not yet kept?
    My patience is running thin.
Those of my children who follow in my footsteps, be ready.
People are going to despise you for being set apart and obeying me.
Fear not for I am with thee!
Young ones, do not conform yourselves to the ways of the world or wicked.
Follow after me wholeheartedly. For your prize awaits you at the end of the race.
Let not your eyes cause you to stumble.
    SEE ME! LOOK AT ME!
    I am all around you.
Hear me! I LOVE YOU and do what is best.
Do not give up your hope for my hope is still in you my beloved.
Keep standing firm. Keep the faith! Know that all this was worth my sacrifice.
    I am worth the wait.
You are worth my return my bride.
    You are worth the wait.

How ironic! In this day of politically correctness, when we must kow-tow and kiss the hineys of Islamist, homosexuals, and every other anti-God deviant on the planet, and the ONLY acceptable negativity will in fact be against those who swear by Jesus Christ.

    Isnt' that ironic?

I agree with Matt's post and I have been feeling this in my spirit for a couple of years now. Our time is coming, at the door.

All I know is, I am just going to keep trusting in God. I know that complacency is a Christian's enemy and sad to say, that is all we see in most "Christians" in America.

:iagree I saw this happen when I went to my friend's church and spoke to the pastor about my concerns about Ric Warren and the Emergeny Church. What is so sad, is that on the "surface" things seem normal. But, being that they had the 40 days of Purpose at the Church before this pastor came, and that they were having " Beth Moore teaching in the Bible classes on Wednesday nights, I thought I would go in and see where he stood. He was foxy, but ended up telling me that he knew Ric Warren and thought he was a great guy, that he downloaded "The Message Bible" onto his computer at Church and quoted it, that the only books he wanted to look at were the books I had on "Emergent Church". ....and then wanted to know the church I normally attended :woah:.....but I wouldn't tell him, for I felt I couldn't trust him. I talked about Peter Drucker and Robert Schullar....which he seemed to think were okay people. So I knew I was wasting my time. I said, it was about time for us to go, I did leave him the book on the Emergent Church to read. But, I think he was "already" Emergent. My friend, seemed to think the talk went well, and I chuckled and shook my head. She heard what she wanted to hear....and I told her I had heard enough not to want to come back to this church.

Days later I called the church I use to go to. I couldn't get the regular minister that I knew so I talked to the new assistant. I asked him about Ric Warren. I said, that I thought Ric was a New Age Christian (which is an oxymoron) and that's when the "fur flew"....I asked the minister why he was so angry and yelling?

I asked him if he knew who Ric Warren's mentors were. He said, no. I said, so you follow a man who you don't know who his mentors are, or their belief systems...and that you encourage others to follow him too, and you haven't checked this man out and your're yelling at me....why? At that point I was told to get on my hands and knees and repent for judging a Godly man. I said, if I said a lie, I need to repent, but since I did not lie, but give you facts and information to follow up on, I need not to repent. He began screaming, so I ended the conversation. I called another church, both were Baptist and had the same reaction. So that's when I found out that I was "resistors"....:woah: :hyst and didn't know it.

:iagree Mattfourfive......true believers will be persucted by evangelicals....I said to to one of the pastors, " you are so blinded that you are going to be one of many who help puts people like me on the boxcars, along with the Jews to be killed and think you will be doing God's work." :woah:

Wow. What a set of experiences! But is doesn't surprise me. It is becoming more and more common as this end times apostasy spreads ever more rapidly. Matthew 24:24 says: "For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect." The fact that these people are deceived means, I guess, they aren't the elect!

The reaction you received from these pastors helps demonstrate where the source of this apostasy is. In Galatians 5:20 Paul tells us that the deeds of the flesh are: "enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions." Then he goes on to say, in verses 22 and 23a: "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control." So you can pretty much judge where someone's doctrine is coming from and whether the Holy Spirit has control of the heart by their behavior. I guess you found out about those pastors!

And as these times grow worse we ALL need to be more in our Word and more on our faces before Him, submitting ourselves to the work of the Holy Spirit to clean us up. But realize that the cleaning up is NOT to make us ready for Heaven ... for we are made ready for Heaven by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and that alone. Indeed the cross alone has made us righteous and accepted of the Father. Therefore we are already ready! But we need the cleaning up so that there is as little as possible within us here on earth to hinder the work of the Spirit and thus hinder the power we need within ourselves to stand against the wiles of the enemy, and remain firm in the fires of persecution.

I am in total agreement with you Matt and God's Lamb. A similar experience happened to me just after I came to the Lord, as a new Christian I was desperate for fellowship and tried many, many churches. I went through the same process as many do I suppose, I first went to the church of my youth, Presbyterian, and was turned off by the luke warmness and deadness of the church. Then I ended up going to a independent Baptist church, and really enjoyed the "life" the church had, the praise and worshiping the charismatic sermons, etc.. The first thing that rubbed me wrong about this church was when I first started meeting the church “leaders” without exception, one of the first three question out of their mouth was “Where do you work?” The old money grabbing preacher thoughts kept popping into my head but I just played it off as an attack by the enemy to keep me away from the church. My discernment radar has gotten a lot better since then.

Anyway 6-7 mouths into this church, they decided to do the 40 day of purpose Rick Warren thing. This did not feel right to me, but as I said I was a new Christian, and kind of followed the “experienced” Christians (like sheep to the slaughter). But it didn’t feel right to me, that we were studying and praising a book other then the Bible, a book written by a man, not inspired of the Holy Spirit. So I began asking questions, and the reaction I got was the same, violent, defensive, critical, belittling answers. I was shocked that any Christian would act this way, especially ones who were in leadership roles of the church.

Sufficed to say I left that church. I now live in a different town, a much smaller town, and I have tried the local churches, but the “charismatic” or “evangelical” churches seem to all follow the example of the last, and the mainstream churches are all luke warm, dead, or just plain pagan. I truly believe that the persecution has begun and the enemy has infiltrated the so-called churches and is deceiving the masses. In the last days the True church will be an underground church. The persecution of the true church is going to be initiated by the mainstream, Rick Warren/Joel Osteen/Robert Schuler, the “evangelical” prosperity preachers, and paganistic “mainstream” churches. Bending and pushing unity and political correctness, shutting up the voice of God through His true church.

The time is here, the time to stand is now. This is not a joy ride, persecution is not fun, and should not be taken for granted. We get excited because we know the day we are in and the time is short, we will be going home soon. However before that day comes times will be tough and gritty and sorrowful. Glory be to God, please pray for one another for strength in this day.
"Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him."

Excellent post Ricky ... and I certainly shall begin praying as you suggest. I have not until now. For some reason I never thought of doing so. But I believe God touched my heart through your words ... so I shall begin. God bless you for your words of exhortation.

The true churches are the ones who preach and teach repentance, the power of the cross(not the power of positive thinking), carrying your cross denying yourself(not your best life now), holiness, denying worldly lust, and separating from the world. When we do these things you can expect to be persecuted and told that you are not showing love or to old fashioned, don't understand the culture you live in. The "new" gospel being preach in this country is nothing but a man pleaseing, demon inspired gospel. Jesus died on the cross for me so I could be brought from death to life, not so I could live a Wall Street life style. WE MUST get back to the preaching of the cross for in it is the power of God and it will set us free.

    the cross!
Its so hard to find a good church...you find one and find unity but to find that they are so involved in distractions. I love my church I was going to but my ministers heart is in missions and I felt in one sermon that I was being singled out for having my heart and spiritual eyes on the end time events (long story). I'm not going to ignore whats on my heart and instruction by our Lord that we are to know the signs of the times. Prophecy was so overlooked throughout history that even today Jesus was missed.

i'm with ya, godchick. why is prophecy ignored? Peter said "we have a MORE SURE word of prophecy" - yet it's ignored. we ARE to have our eyes on end time events - Jesus commanded us to watch,, we are, but is anyone else? i think tht when true end-time prophecy is preached, people THEN see the connection between what is going on in the world around us TODAY, with what the Bible said would happen immediately BEFORE He returns. they HAVE to realize that the time is NOW. i love to study end-time prophecy, especially the pre-trib. rapture event, and want to shout it from the roof-top. but there's no one to hear. come quickly, Lord Jeus
