No particularly pressing reason...I came across it in my wanderings on the web and thought I'd post it for interest's sake. It is public domain information, and anyone with nefarious intent can find far more useful stuff public and private. For the patriots it might be worth printing out and pinning on the wall, but Emmanuel Goldstein probably has better charts already.

As I said, I realize it is not classified information. But many of these fixed geographical points contain family members. I don't like it when Sean Osborne posts information about the US Naval fleet. Does he post things that are classified? Absolutely not. At least with the naval fleet it floats in a general location. And just because a ship is assigned to an area does not mean it will stay in that area. Military intallations don't move and this board it open to anyone. Back to my point. I believe this information should not be posted. The least we do is make the whackadudes "work" for the information.

Correct. It's all about OPSEC. And if Uncle had even a tiny problem with any of the information that website and other websites post in open source - they'd all have have been taken down and gone long before anyone had a chance to actually lay eyes on it. Trust me on this... they're that good at what they do.

I share your concern. However, I also know that we have an Order Of Battle (OOB), several of them in fact (Electronic OOB and so on), and all have very specific grid coordinates as does any other nation's military in the world - light-years more detailed than anything in the graphic micah719 posted. This data has been in our targeting databases and their targeting databases for decades if not longer.

What this graphic does demonstrate is the global reach the son of perdition will have when he's the CInC of the armies of most of the world. It puts an appropriate perspective to Revelation 13:4 -- "Who is like the beast? Who can make war against him?"
