Default Congress.org - Mods delete if unwelcome or too controversial

    Congress.org - Home

Thess are 4 letters I wrote to my US Senators and House Reps. I used Congress.org and then clicked on "officials," typed in my zip code and then where it says "Write Your Elected Officials" just click on "Federal." Then just compose your letter and they get your input. We must contact our senators and reps and make sure they know how we feel about these issues!

#1) "I would like to have these questions answered: How did our "Elected" officials allow the President of the United States to "Appoint" officials that clearly do not serve the best interests of the People of the United States? Each one of the "Czars" appear to be there to create turmoil and unrest in the government and with the American People without being responsible TO the people. Does Pres Obama have the legal authority, and the backing of the Legislative and Judicial Branches of our government, to hoist these so-called experts on us?

I truly would like a well-thought (not canned) response to my questions."

#2) "I am strongly opposed to any reform, bill, or law which funds abortion under ANY pretense. I am also opposed to any bill, law, or piece of legislation which will cause the federal deficit to increase or put this country into further debt.

When a family spends more that they earn, and there is no way to pay off their debt, eventually they will have to declare bankruptcy. That is what is happening in this country. Because of our Legislative and Executive branches trying to "fast fix" the problems of this nation, we are headed for economic meltdown. We CANNOT continue to spend the way we have. We MUST put a stop to it now.

I do not support healthcare reform, and I do not support increasing the cost of living through all the hidden taxes, surcharges, and increased living expenses you - Our ELECTED Officials - are hoisting upon this nation."

#3) "I selected homeland security for this topic since it hits close to home for the security of our nation. If we do not gain control of the influx of illegal aliens (from any nation) into this country, we will be destroyed from the inside. Our tax dollars, welfare system, healthcare system, hospitals, law enforcement, etc... is being over burdened by the "need" to protect these aliens.

Did I miss something? When/how did an illegal alien obtain and secure the same rights and privileges of a US citizen? Please, let's stop this trend towards forcing the American people to pay for this. Stop the bleeding and send them BACK to their country."

#4) "This scares me! President Obama wants to field a civilian security force. Ok. who is the enemy warranting such a Civilian National Security Force? Am I the "Enemy" because I disagree with Socialism and its creep towards Communism? Because I believe in the Sovereignty of the US?

Why do we need such a force? What is going to be their directives and WHO will control them? Who will they answer too? The President?

COME ON!!! It is time we wake up and STOP the insanity of what is going on in our precious United States. PLEASE oppose this (and any) attempt to circumvent the rights of the people to be free of tyranny and abuse. You, Men and Women of the government, must do as we ask - represent the people!"

Interesting how all these issues stem from previews of upcoming legislation-put on the internet or from presidential appointees statements or writings. We hear the legislation is NOT written by legislators or their aides, but rather by fringe political factions. We "hear" of radical statements made that if true would render the country helpless or defenseless to economic tragedy and systemic ruination. They essentially believe "man" is his own savior (no need for God's help) while at the same time they purport man is ruining the planet and severe steps must be taken immediately to save mother earth, knowing full well these steps foretell the removal of much of mankind. These directions, quite amazingly crafted and implemented, will no doubt mean the end of America's strength and viability. God's will be done.

Although I pray daily for corrective measures be taken to right the American ship, I also ask all my petitions not counter God's perfect will for our nation. It is tough to want two things which at this moment seem quite the opposite.

    Warhog,

I"ve been contacting my state officials constantly, and I, also, called the six blue dog Democrats.

I attend 'tea parties',and one town hall meeting over the phone.

I send personal emails to cyber friends just to let them know what is going on in the US.

I'm totally 'shock' as no one that I know of from my Church has done anything.

Their answer is just to 'pray.'

That's the main problem with America: the churches are asleep~

I like your letter you put together, and God bless you for caring for our God and our country.

Thanks Faith. AS, I have been lamenting the state of our nation, and the quick demise of the ideals (based on the Bible) on which our Founding Fathers built this country. This article has recently put my "citizenship" in perspective. A Word on Citizenship

    Those are good questions--

The questions I've asked have been:

When did the legislative branch of the Constitutional government start serving at the whims and desires of the executive branch instead of the requirements of those who voted you into office?

The Constitution you swore an oath to protect and defend--ever read it?

    Nope, haven't heard a peep.

^^ I believe it. I've gotten replies back before. I'd be surprised if I do this time. Especially from John Yarmuth.
