Hey there, and thank you for the invite! I just joined, and in fact just heard of this particular forum. I look forward to hanging out and posting with you folks.

Just for safety's sake, here is the copy and paste of the very short version of my testimony.

I went to a Christian school. Christianity was taught but it was taught by snobby people and the kids and teachers were judgemental and mean. I didn't want anything to do with Christianity because of the type of people I went to school with. I decided I was an Athiest even though I still believed in Jesus. I got into drugs, drinking and sleeping around. I didn't pray or go to church. I didn't think about God at all. I moved in with a guy who beat me up. I got a job at a strip club. I stayed with him for a while doing all the sinful things. I left him and slept around more and did more drugs, not thinking about God. I met my husband and settled down and we started going to church. I saw that not all Christians were like the ones I knew growing up. I began opening up to Jesus more and praying and accepted Him again into my heart (I had done it as a child but fallen away). Jesus did not give up on me and took me back when I asked and forgave me for forgetting Him and sinning.

I'm not sure if it's required, but better safe than sorry ;-)

My dear sister in Christ, welcome to RF! I am so glad you have joined us. May your fellowship here be blessed. Thank you for your testimony to the love and faithfulness of our God. Even when we stray, He is faithful. I am so sorry for the "Christians" who drove you away from Christ; one day they will answer for their behavior toward you. I think you will find a different attitude here at RF. Jesus said the world would know we were His by the love we have one for another. We love each other here, even though at times we may not agree on everything. We do so because we are all wretched sinners saved by the grace of God alone: and, as John wrote, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. I look forward to your posts.

Welcome Frances! This is such a wonderful place to meet other Christians, learn more about Jesus, and just generally hang out. I'm glad the Lord guided you here.

Thank ya'll so much for the welcomes. That really means a lot to me. I may be here for days at a time, then be gone for a week or two, and that's just the way I am with the internet, so don't worry. I have a lot going on in my life right now, so I'm really busy. My Mother is sick, my oldest daughter has some health problems, my oldest son is having marriage problems, my younger son is having school problems, my husband and I are having some problems related to his family, and we are having some financial problems, plus I'm having some health problems. I also usually have a housefull of kids and am back and forth at the computer and they get on it when I'm not sitting here. That's why I may completely forget about a thread I'm posting in or a point I was trying to make between the time I've posted and the time I come back, even if it's only thirty minutes. Because of the level of chaos at my house, sometimes I may be distracted and not make much sense, but I usually go back and clarify later.

Feel free to ask for any clarification, or really anything you want to know about me. I'm looking forward to posting here. The people do seem nice here and have a Christian attitude.
