New here, from Seattle area

Well, this is only my 2nd post on these forums. I live about 30 miles south of Seattle, moved here from the Boston area over 20 years ago. I became a Christian in 1980 as so many others have, after reading Hal Lindsey's "The Late Great Planet Earth". I was Catholic at the time and it took me about 4 years to realize what being "saved" was, but I believe it actually took place for me while reading Hals' book.

I found these forums because the other prophecy forums I have frequented for the past few years (Rapture Ready Forums) seem to be dying. Not many posts there anymore. These forums seem much more active and there is alot more to read here on a regular basis. I don't post nearly as much as I read other posts. I guess I'm mostly a "lurker" : )

Hi Dan,

Hubby and I moved from Texas to Washington State awhile back. We lived in Bremerton for 3 years and then Issaquah for one year. Would love to still be there, but we could not afford a house there because it is so expensive. We moved back to Texas 3 years ago.

Back in the day, my wife and I lived on Military Rd. in Tukwila. I worked at SeaTac airport and my wife at Boeing.

I used to work in Issaquah. Beautiful town. I hate the politics here in Wa state. Our so called leaders are hopeless, liberal wretches! I always thought Texas would be a good place to live, but I hate the heat! Aside from the far left politics, the Seattle area is a great place to live, as long as you don't mind the rain!

Welcome Dan!! I flew into Seattle one time from sunny Hawaii on a military hop. When the plane landed there was 6" ice on the plane and a Blizzard at McCord AFB. They deiced the Plane and 6hrs and a foot of snow we later took off in the blizzard. I am still unsure how that plane got off the runway but I was praying every second ...in my Hawaiian shorts and tee-shirt.
