    Default "The Lake House"

Okay, part to me wanted to get "potty training, anyone?" off the main forum list. But I was also curious to know if any of you ladies have seen this movie?

I was intriqued when I saw previews for it on TV, and caught it when HBO was free over the weekend. I love "time-travel" stories! I like the main actors, too! But, being a schmaltzy love story, you know guys aren't interested in it. :D But Ken found a used copy of it for me and I'm looking for oportunities to watch it without being interrupted. (Ha!)

    Anybody else see it?

The movie is coming on the Movie Network for free sometime this month ... maybe I'll watch it.

    I've seen it. o/

My hubby cried like a baby! *awwwwww* Then he spent several hours trying to sort out all the time stuff. I finally said, "It a MOVIE!!! Let it go, already!!!" :laughbounce

He has an engineer mind (he is a tech, that should have been an engineer), so he is always trying to figure things out. :)

I thought it was pretty good. :)

I liked it - I'm a sucker for these kinds of movies! However, there were a couple of logistical problems - as in "Why didn't she know it was him when.....?" (don't want to spoil anything :) )

Is that the one where the man and woman are in different years?

Yes. It's a schmaltzy love story at a nice slow pace, for those of us who can't keep up with too many subplots.

I liked it a lot. I, too, like time travel stories. But, as Anavah said, don't try to figure out the logistics of it, just enjoy the story.

I forgot that I bought "The Lake House" for my grandmother for Christmas. She must have liked it ... it was the first movie she opened when she took it home.

My mom & I went to see it at the movies. We both enjoyed it. I wouldn't mind seeing it again... I NEVER know about the free HBO weekends!!!

I don't either -- but my husband always does. I'll alert you with a PM the next time it happens. :D

I really liked 'the Lake House'. A different take on a romantic movie.

It was a sweet movie, but like others have posted, don't try to figure out the time travel logistics, my head almost exploded when I tried. :woah:
