    Default Question ?

April 8th is our Wedding anniversary. As many of you know my husband is sick. Last year he forgot and was embarrased when I gave him a card. He's probably forgotten it again this year. It's OK. Should I just keep my mouth shut or should I get him a card? What if he thinks I'VE forgotten it? :laughbounce

Get him a card. Be generous and drop him some hints to spare him
a repeat of last year. :)

I've learned that communication is 99% of human relationship problems.

Tell him - I am sure you know he loves you so the simple fact of him not being good with dates should not reflect a diminishing of that love.

Make a great day of sharing the celebration of your love together!
    Congratulations!

I totally forgot our anniversary last year. It fell on a Sunday and for some reason I thought it was the next week, not even looking at the date. My dh gave me a card first thing and I was like "oh no". He laughed so hard then proceeded to tell everyone at church that day. I felt so bad but had to laugh at what a good time he was having with it.

Maybe give him some subtle or not so subtle hints, then give him a card.

Maybe ask him if he'd like a quiet dinner in for your anniversary, just the two of you, or if there's a special dinner you can fix. That will be the hint!

How's he doing, by the way, v?
    Are we there yet?

Thanks ladies. Great advice. Husband is doing ok. He has good days and bad days. His appetite is enormous.:laughbounce He's on some steriods and there making him hungry. Tonight I fixed a baked turkey breast, green beans, corn on the cob and some mashed potatoes. He's eaten one helping of turkey, one helping of green beans and mashed potatoes 4 ears of corn, then.......one can of chicken noodle soup. Now he's eating some watermellon.

The nurses tell me to Let Him Eat. So I do. :laughbounce

Been on a couple of rounds of steroids myself, and they packed on about 20 lbs that I definately didn't need. Man, it was like I had to be chewing on something constantly. It could have been a piece of wood, a rump roast, or a dog toy but usually it was food. lol.
    Hope he does well.

Thank you all. I took your advice and just asked him what he wanted to do. It worked out fine. :)
