Hi! I'm saving my first kiss for marriage (assuming we're not raptured before that time comes, and I have a feeling I'll still be in high school when we get taken to be with the Lord.), but I was wondering, are there any married ladies on this site who saved their first kiss for marriage?

    That's really sweet.

You're a smart girl. My sweet husband and I didn't, but I do wish we had.

But we did not have sex until marriage, for which I will always be grateful. It strengthened our relationship and our trust, and I'm convinced it's one of the reasons we are still together and happy after 18 years of marriage.

I'm going to really encourage my children to WAIT until their marriage and the importance of courtship.

    God bless you!

I'm not so sure I would have wanted to save my first kiss for marriage. There is too much to be learned in a kiss; mainly 'chemistry'. If a person really doesn't make your heart leap when you kiss...well....

    BUT, to each his own!
    Howdy ya'll!

Never been kissed, but I've been told to "kiss off" plenty of times.

When I was a teenager I used to listen to the radio quite a lot. Back then in the 1970s there was a brother and sister band called The Carpenters that I really liked and they sang a version of an Old Burt Bacharach song "Never Fall In Love Again".

In the song there is a line which at 13 years old like you when I heard this said What do you get when you kiss a GUY? Answer "Enough germs to get pneumonia". I highlighted the verse in the Lyrics below.

I really took this advice to heart. So I grew up not wanting to Kiss a Boy or just any Boy because you just don't know what you will pick up from them.

Honestly this is how I felt for a very long time. Unfortunately age and hormones caught up with me but I never just kissed any fellow. It was a boyfriend with whom I was serious and in almost all cases got engaged to. Unfortunately the engagements didn't last. OR should I say fortunately. Because I finally found my husband. While I might not saved my kiss for my husband I saved myself for marriage and I was truly glad I did.

There is a cheeky saying "you've got to kiss a lot of Frogs before you find your Prince".

My advice is don't just kiss any boy. Do save those kisses for when they are appropriate. If you can save them for your hubby and not have your heartbroken.

Unfortunately we don't live in a perfect world and you may get your heartbroken along the way. Here is what I found in getting my heartbroken; I was able to take it to God and He repaired my heart and made it better than it was before. I used to have a selfish heart and even hard heart but God let it get broken so it would become softer and more loving. I don't regret having been heartbroken because it prepared me to be a better person by the time my husband came along.

Carpenters - I'll Never Fall In Love Again Lyrics

(Here to remind you, here to remind you,

Here to remind you, here to remind you)

What do you get when you fall in love

A girl with a pin to burst your bubble

That's what you get for all your troubble

I'll never fall in love again

I'll never fall in love again

What do you get when you kiss a guy

You get enough germs to catch pneumonia

After you do, he'll never phone you

I'll never fall in love again

I'll never fall in love again

Don't tell me what it's all about

'Cause I've been there and I'm glad I'm out

Out of those chains, those chains that bind you

That is why I'm here to remind you

What do you get when you fall in love?

You only get lies and pain and sorrow

So far at least until tomorrow

I'll never fall in love again

I'll never fall in love again

Don't tell me what it's all about

'Cause I've been there and I'm glad I'm out

Out of those chains, those chains that bind you

That is why I'm have here to remind you

Here to remind you, here to remind you

    Toh! here to remind you

What do you get when you fall in love

You only get lies and pain and sorrow

So, far at least until tomorrow

I'll never fall in love again

I'll never fall in love again
Too many lovers have had brokenhearts over the years because people are basically sinful. That's why there are many songs written about being hurt by love BUT God's Love is perfect. We are fortunate to be in relationship with a God who Loves us perfectly.

I have to say that the above my was my first thought too. I did not have sex with my husband before we got married, but we did kiss. I have been kissed by other boys (they were boys at the time LOL) and there were some..ewwwwwwwwwwwww LOL. You just have to be careful w/ the kissing and put a limit on it. It is very hard when you are in love with someone not to be tempted or tempting.

Great question. Hard to answer ;)

Such a beautiful sentiment . I was not a Christian at the time so I lived in the "world's ways" back in the 1990's. So I did not wait. Wish I had waited on many things It would have saved me alot of heartache.
I hope my daughter is like you when she grows up ( she is only 7 months) and wants to wait too! It is nice to see there are still teenagers that want wait..
    God Bless you!

There is a sweet, beautifully illustrated Christian children's book you might want to read, even though it was designed for children. It's called The Princess and the Kiss by Jennie Bishop. It addresses the wisdom of saving one's first kiss and is also a parable promoting purity.

"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." Matthew 6:19-21

No, but I was at a wedding(well supposed to be at a wedding) where they saved their first kiss for the wedding. Was really sweet(haha, as far as I know! I was late to the wedding and only made it to the reception! I missed it! Hey, at least there were some of those tea sandwiches left, hehe.). I heard it was so sweet though. Very cute couple.

I didn't wait for my first kiss until the wedding, but I also wish I would've waited. It gets more complicated for a young girl, because you get heartbroken all the time... and it's really worth to wait for everything.

I admire you for your position and please stay like that and trust in your believes!
