    Default Syria's top generals defect

Debka files report six to seven top Syrian generals of Assad's inner circle have defected.

    I'd skedaddle too...

I recall Saddam and Gaddafi's generals doing the same before they were taken out.

IF the report is true, this could begin to put additional pressure on Assad. Those generals know what the Syrians have and where they are. They could be a pot of gold information wise.

It was listed on the Hal Lindsey report which now is listed on his second page. I believe Hal believes the report is for real.

I just read this article on "Debka". The generals defected because the "Red Cross" labelled the Syrian conflict as a civil war, which means that the killing of civilians by Assad, his government officials and military officers become official war crimes. Good time for those in charge to leave, but I don't think that it will keep them from being held responsible for their actions.

    One Syrian general in particular.

If he really flew the coop... hold on to your hats in the next couple of days.

If this is an ingenious Israeli PsyOp, well, the result could break for the better, or it could break towards a Syrian WMD assault upon Israel. Isaiah 17 manifest.

That, I think, is what Bashar Al-Assad believes is his trump card - war with Israel. I think he's more than likely to play that card than not play it.

Saddam Hussein and Muamar Gadhaffi's deaths being the primary reasons why Bashar Al-Assad should play it ... he might believe it is his only chance for survival.

I think that it's a real possibility that Assad will use his WMDs on Israel. As you said, he might well believe that it's his only chance for survival. The added advantage is that almost anything is forgivable in the Islamic world if it means that Israel suffers or loses in some way.

I think you are absolutely right and this of course will be no surprise to God. He is watching everything closely. I have long thought that something big would make Assad push the wrong button and a WMD attack on Israel could very well be the final straw for Assad. I think it has been reported in the past that Israel has already warned Assad that if he or Hezbollah attacked Israel that they would destroy Damascus. I think that warning is already out there, but with Assad seeing what happened to Gaddafi and Mubarak, I think you are spot on that he thinks that is his trump card. He is going to be sadly mistaken big time.

Even the Palestinians living in Syria are supporting the rebels fighting Assad. (Debka Files)
