Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said Friday that an Israeli strike on Iran would be disastrous and should not be an option. "We don't want any nuclear power - not in the region, and not in the world," he said while speaking at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington. "But a military strike would be a disaster. It should not be an option," he said. Davutoglu stressed that Turkey does not want to see another conflict "at this turning point for the region." "It's not reasonable or feasible. We will never endorse another military tension in the region," he said." The Turkish foreign minister also commented on the Palestinian efforts to secure a unity government and Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations.
