    Republican Senator John McCain on Tuesday called on the White House to send ammunition to the opposition forces fighting against the Syrian President Bashar Assad’s regime. McCain’s call came after the U.S. announced that it was skeptical about the Syrian government’s statements regarding taking new measures to stop violence in the country.

    Something has to be done to try and stop the slaughter of women, children and civilians. Without proper weapons, the civilians are at the mercy of a well-trained, well-equipped military.

    I don't always agree with my own senators, but this time I believe he is right. When we get right down to it, what really is the difference between helping innocent civilians in Syria vs. Libya?? Other than oil that is.
