Iran warns world of coming great event

Amid crippling sanctions over its nuclear weapons program, Iran is
continuing to prepare itself for war against the West, and now is warning of
a coming great event.

"In light of the realization of the divine promise by almighty God, the
Zionists and the Great Satan (America) will soon be defeated," Ayatollah
Khamenei, the Iranian supreme leader, is warning.

Khamenei, speaking to hundreds of youths from more than 70 countries
attending a world conference on the Arab Spring just days ago, told a
cheering crowd in Tehran that "Allah's promises will be delivered and Islam
will be victorious."

The countries represented included Bahrain, Egypt, Libya, Palestine and
Tunisia, all of which have been involved in the Arab Spring.

In his remarks, Khamenei advised the youths to remain vigilant, stating that
the Islamic awakening in the region has delivered several blows to the
enemies of Islam and that all Muslims, despite their own historical and
social differences, remain united in opposing the "evil hegemony of the
Zionists and the Americans."

Khamenei then claimed the current century as the century of Islam and
promised that human history is on the verge of a great event and that soon
the world will realize the power of Allah.

Many clerics in Iran have stated that Khamenei is the deputy of the last
Islamic messiah on earth and that obedience to him is necessary for the
final glorification of Islam.

Khamenei has been heard to say that the coming of the last Islamic Messiah,
the Shiites' 12th Imam Mahdi, is near and that specific actions need to be
taken to protect the Islamic regime for upcoming events.

Mahdi, according to Shiite belief, will reappear at the time of Armageddon.
Selected forces within the Revolutionary Guards and Basij reportedly have
been trained under a task force called "Soldiers of Imam Mahdi" and they
will bear the responsibility of security and protecting the regime against
uprisings. Many in the Guards and Basij have been told that the 12th Imam is
on earth, facilitated the victory of Hezbollah over Israel in the 2006 war
and soon will announce publicly his presence after the needed environment is
created.

That environment is undoubtedly the creation of Iranian nuclear weapons.

There are few important a facts you are either apparently not aware of or are intentionally ignoring.

Number 1: Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei assumed the office of Isran's Supreme Leader on 4 June 1989.

Number 2: That date is 23 years ago, or by the anniversary on 4 June 2012 a total of 276 months.

Number 3: The alleged "Imam Mahdi" died a most unfortunate death at the age of 5-years old 1,138 years ago. For the time being he is very much dead.

Number 4: The 72 months prophecy is nonsense. It is Shi'a Islamic nonsense that is utterly meaningless to Christians.

Number 5. Do not mix utterly meaningless Islamic nonsense with completely valid Chrisitan eschatological teaching. It is a recipe for disaster.

Dave-o I believe you are onto something. I will be putting together an exposition of a Biblical text that I never ever hear preached on. As a matter of fact there is no info posted online either. I actually called Hal Lindsey about it once, and he said it was very interesting and very well could be. So when I have the doc finished I will post it here for us all to ruminate on. At any rate, every day I wait for the next shoe to drop over there and I believe this year will be important. Evangelism is of utmost importance at this time. Make sure your friends and loved ones know Christ.

When you believe in an ideology such as the Persians I don't think they care much for the what happens after.

Don't put any stock in the koran or the rantings and predictions of these crazy mullahs or imanutjob.

Remember, in the Old Testament, when Sennacherib, the king of Assyria came up and ranted against Hezekiah (2 Kings 18 )

They boast and they hollar, they rant and they rave.

They brag about all that they will do and the great slaughter they will make upon Israel and all the Jews.

God had a plan for them then (a destroying Angel).......God has a plan for them now.

First He's going to get their attention:

For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel;

So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground. (Ezekiel 38:19,20)

He will turn them against each other:

I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord GOD: every man's sword shall be against his brother. (Ezekiel 38:21)

Then He will really let them have it:

And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone. (Ezekiel 38:22)

They will then be history!

Yes, the Shi'a Twelver/Hojjatieh Muslims believe the nonsense about some alleged 5-year old kid who fell in a well 1,186 years ago, despite the fact that there exists no real evidence that he ever actually existed.

What the Shi'a Twelvers believe will occur has no bearing on anything in the real-world; in effect it is a belief that borders upon or actually is a long-term form mass insanity.

The Shi'a Twelvers must be dealt with as any mass of insane individuals are dealt with by sane people and their leaders; that the Shi'a Twelvers are near to acquiring nuclear weapons shows how utterly reckless and ineffectual other world leaders have been in dealing with them thus far.

I believe the Lord's prophetic plan for dealing with them is found in Jeremiah 49:34-39. The prophecy of Ezekiel 38/39 comes shortly thereafter.
