Hamas is opposed to the idea of creating a Palestinian state in Jordan, Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal declared Sunday. Mashaal was speaking to reporters in Amman after meeting with Jordan's King Abdullah II. "Jordan belongs to the Jordanians and Palestine to the Palestinians," Mashaal said in a message aimed at reassuring King Abdullah that Hamas does not challenge his monarchy. Mashaal said he also affirmed during the meeting with the king Hamas's keenness on safeguarding Jordan's security and stability. Hamas officials described Mashaal's talks with King Abdullah II as positive and expressed hope that the two sides would open a new page in their relations.

Mashaal in Jordan rejects any 'alternative homeland'
    By JPOST.COM STAFF 01/29/2012 17:31
Israel does not want peace and Hamas refuses a program of settlement or an "alternative homeland," Hamas leader the Hamas-affiliate Al Resalah reported Khaled Mashaal as saying Sunday in Jordan.

"Jordan is for Jordanians, and Palestine is for the Palestinians," Mashaal said during a press conference after a meeting with Jordanian King Abdullah II in Amman. Mashaal reportedly thanked the Jordanian king for his support of Palestinians. "Any discussions between Hamas and Jordan opens a new page between all sides in the Palestinian issue," Mashaal said. The Hamas leader and chief of the group's political bureau in Syria was visiting Amman on his first diplomatic mission since the Islamist group was banished from Jordan and its leaders exiled in 1999.

Mashaal: Hamas wants close ties with Jordan
Following meeting with King Abdullah, terror group leader says it 'also cares for Jordan's security and stability,' but official says ban on group's activities will not be lifted
    Associated Press
    Published: 01.29.12, 19:55 / Israel News

A high-profile visit to Jordan by the leader of Hamas has revived contacts with the Palestinian terrorist group, but Jordan will not lift a ban on its activities there, a senior Jordanian official said Sunday. Khaled Mashaal's visit was part of Jordan's efforts to engage with previously shunned Islamists, who have been gaining ground across the region in Arab Spring uprisings. "It will only break the ice, following years of estrangement," said the official, who was attending talks between Khaled Mashaal and Jordan's King Abdullah II, "but Hamas will not be allowed to reopen its offices in Jordan." Re-establishing contact with Hamas also positions Jordan to mediate between Israel and the Palestinians.

    THANKSS CHRIS
well the one that would be most troubled by what Khaled Mashaal stated is Saudi Arabia, the Saudi's know that Hamas and Hezbollah is a threat . I suppose they have good cause to be worried over the present day circumstances and situation the current turmoil could in fact present a opening for Iran a Shiite country that has formed alliances across the region with groups like hezb... and Hamas.... opposed by S.Arabia. So now we see some of that telltale symptom showing up I mean after all S. Arabia had back of this sent 2,ooo troops into Bahrain a wee tiny little Kingdom across the way from S.Arabia to combat the protests by the shiite minority who have threatened the Government

King Abdullah is not a spring chicken ,what the man is 87 years old or something like that , he is still the crowned prince at time being though

Maybe it is they anticipate a (shiite) situation in their favor
if change becomes inevitable for Jordan at the death of King Ab . One never can tell what these groups are up to ,except we all know it is of no good ... no brainer

Lets see now a recap of Psalms 83 feels right

Ammon is a descendant of Lot and just so happens to be the current capital of Jordan .. ... then going on
Biblical Edom is known as current day JORDAN
    right ...ok then ....
the one city mentioned PETRA is located in that land called Edom which is would be .... Southern JORDAN
    well now

Moab actually also is a current part of JORDAN TOO
    LOCAL
    East of the Dead sea

And currently it appears that JORDAN is undergoing political change there system of Monarchy is open for question because of growing disconteeent with King Ab ...

Looks to me like most in not all the players of Psalms 83 keep popping up

well I suppose soon nuff we can expect them back on the front runner and see what the mad Mullahs and shiite come of doing
Naturally S.Arabia would need worry turmoil would make a passage way for IRAN

considering the Obvious I know in rational reason Israel would have cause to watch this situation very carefully and have most likely already been well informed they will have to strike at any other opportunity presented for IRAN

keeps lining right on up to what we read right off the pages

    Pray for Israel ya'll
they need it more than ever

we are gona continue to see the line up of what we know will eventually be the Psalms 83 war

those Nations none of them are for Israel
as a fact all of them are Aligning against Israel
to wage the end time war against her

they are gaining way to much ground
