Default What is really happening to Turkey?

Since Turkey is directly involved in the M.E., I posted this here, an opinion piece from a Turk.

What is really happening to Turkey?

    SEMİH İDİZ

A recent spate of contacts between Turkish leaders and heads of state of Middle Eastern countries has revived the “Turkey is changing direction and turning to the Islamic world” argument once again. The Wall Street Journal carried a news analysis piece earlier this week with the title “What is happening to Turkey?”

Its author, Bret Stephens, even featured historian Bernard Lewis suggesting that “in a decade the secular republic founded by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk might more closely resemble the Islamic Republic of Iran—even as Iran transformed itself into a secular republic.”

Sadly, Prof. Lewis, who has some excellent books on Turkish history, appears to have seriously lost touch with a reality that he should be much more familiar with, given his contacts with this country. The sociological dynamics in Turkey today require a better understanding of what is going on.

    Ya think so Md. Idiz?

You have actually done much in this article to confirm Professor Lewis' argument.

From the meat of the article in the link above:

There is no doubt, for example, that Washington is looking on with a certain chagrin as Turkey awards a $20 billion nuclear power plant contract to Russia and signs documents that propose a $100 billion volume of trade as well as billions of dollars worth of investments, all suggesting a rapidly growing strategic partnership.

There must be further annoyance as Ankara and Moscow reveal positions that are not too dissimilar on issues such as Iran and Hamas or relations with Syria, where President Medvedev actually was visiting just prior to coming to Ankara.
Tell us something we don't know. And you think we're annoyed? Hardly.

Our understanding of these real-world realities was written down as the Word of the Lord given to Ezekiel thousands of years ago. See Ezekiel 38/39 for reference and the bad news concerning Turkey's future reality. Then we can talk about which who is actually "being naive about" these developments.

Life is tough, Mr. Idiz, for individuals and entire nations. It gets tougher if you're stupid.

    From Joel Rosenberg:

RUSSIAN-TURKISH-SYRIAN ALLIANCE GROWS AS MEDVEDEV VISITS

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev is on an historic three-day tour through Syria and Turkey. It was the first visit by a Russian leader to Damascus since the end of the Cold War.

His top agenda items arms sales and helping both countries build nuclear power facilities. Ominously, Medvedev in Damascus called for Israel to give up its nuclear arsensal and help create a “nuclear free zone” in the Middle East.

The visits come at a time when Russia is steadily building diplomatic, economic and military alliances in the region that are consistent with the Ezekiel 38-39 prophecies about the coming “War of Gog and Magog” against Israel.

Gog/Magog are clearly uniting. Also if we consider that the Turkish army has prevented numerous times by coups that they would become fundamentalistic, and now there are reports coming from Turkey that many high ranked officers are being persecuted, it's just a matter of time that Turkey will turn the same way as Iran and such countries.

What is really happening in Turkey?

Well, let's look at what has happened so far:

Turkey had been a friend of Israel and the US. Then, seemingly out of nowhere and happening almost overnight, Turkey "flips" and becomes as against Israel as possible. They begin aligning themselves with the "Islamic Bloc" as well as Russia, who is currently on friendly terms with Iran.

While I am no expert on world affairs, politics or governments, I can say that from the looks of it, someone "got to" Turkey and convinced them that they have a better "deal" by going with the Islamic nations than by standing with Israel.

    In short, they sold out.

But this is just what one can see in the physical world; when you get down to it, there is much more here than meets the eye...

Much is going on, on several different levels. This is conjecture on my part, so if I speak out of turn or in ignorance, my apologies:

    - Turkey "sold out" to get a better deal, finding herself with more in common with the Islamic nations than with Israel. Money also plays a big part in this, and Turkey has probably been promised handsome sums in return for their allegiance.

-Satan is moving his players into position; his task is threefold:

    1) To deny Israel any help, and to garner as much opposition to her as possible

    2) To position the players necessary for him to successfully bring forth his masterpiece, the Antichrist

    3) To amass the forces necessary to annihilate Israel, and cement his hold over Planet earth for all time. By destroying Israel, he would render God a liar, destroy his holiness, and effectively usurp his power and authority. Satan would rule the planet, and mankind would be destroyed; God's crowning creation forever tarnished and a permanent blight and insult to the one who banished Satan from his presence for his rebellion.

    However, Satan is not the only one moving;

-The Lord is allowing Satan to position his pieces and cement his power bases as he wishes, because the Lord has already foretold what will happen. By doing so, Satan, as well as the nations opposed to Israel and God, are actually playing into his hands, and are about to fall into one gigantic TRAP. By amassing those nations around Israel to attack her in the psalm 83 war, God will use this to wipe out Israel's close enemies and regain for her land she had lost. In the war of Gog/Magog, the Lord will finish off Iran, Russia, and the other Islamic nations that seek her destruction. At Armageddon, Jesus himself will come to battle the armies of the world, and smash the Antichrist's power base and world system, showing the planet that Satan at his zenith and armed as well as he wishes to be, is still no match for Jesus Christ.

So, what we are seeing on a physical as well as a spiritual level is the moving of the playing pieces on the world stage into their assigned roles. What comes next will frighten the planet, but for us, it is the fulfillment of prophecy..

...JUST AS THE LORD SAID IT WOULD HAPPEN.
