Mubarak to Netanyahu: Accept Hamas' demands for Shalit deal
    By Haaretz Service

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak has advised Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to accept Hamas' demands for a prisoner swap deal that would see the release of abducted Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit, the Saudi daily Al-Madina reported on Friday. According to the report, Mubarak told Netanyahu during their talks in Cairo earlier this week that Hamas would not give up on the list of prisoners it wants freed in the swap. If Israel agrees to show some flexibility on the matter, Mubarak was reported as saying, then Egypt could guarantee that the deal go through and even convince Hamas to begin negotiating for a long-term cease-fire in the Gaza Strip.

Netanyahu did not give a concrete response to the proposal, according to the daily, saying only that Israel would give it consideration and reply when the time was right. In recent weeks, Israel has reportedly been close to reaching a deal with Hamas that would see the release of hundreds of Palestinian prisoners in exchange for Shalit, who was captured by Gaza militants in June, 2006.

    Jeremiah 2:14-16
14 Is Israel a servant? Is he a homeborn slave? Why has he become a captive and a prey?
15 The young lions have roared over him and made their voices heard. And they have made his land a waste; his cities are burned ruins without inhabitant.
16 Moreover, the children of Memphis and Tahpanhes (Egypt) [have in times past shown their power as a foe; they] have broken and fed on the crown of your head [Israel]--so do not rely on them as an ally now.

Hope someone high up in Israel reads Jeremiah...

Yeah, they really do need to read those verses. The trouble with the Egyptians is they want the same end result for Israel as the blatant terrorists who scream the destruction of Israel. The difference is that Egypt and some of the other states like Jordan, etc. don't always trumpet those facts in the media like Iran, Syria, Palestinians, etc. But the truth of the matter is that the terrorists if they ever could, God won't allow it, destroy Israel they would go after Egypt and Jordan next. You can't reason with these fanatical islamic hordes, the only language they understand is that of force. Which is where Isaiah 17, Pslam 83, and Ezekiel 38-39 will come in place.
