Arab League chief: Any peace must include Jerusalem
    By JPOST.COM STAFF

Any peace accord between Arab nations and Israel must include Jerusalem as the capital of a future Palestinian state, Arab League Secretary-General Amr Moussa said Saturday. "As Arabs, we must maintain the original identity of Jerusalem, because its fate dictates the fate of peace," Moussa said. Moussa was speaking at a conference in Cairo about the future of Jerusalem titled "Red Line - Jerusalem." He added that important international powers, including the European Union, support Jerusalem's status as the capital of a Palestinian state.

Looks like Jerusalem is becoming more and more of a "burdensome stone" here in these last days.

Yes it is. It is interesting to watch and note all the so-called peace moves since Oslo I. Jerusalem has pretty much only been mentioned in passing, the idea being to shove this "intractable" problem to the end of the dispute line, where it can be addressed with vague political ambiguities as a solution. Problem is, that Jerusalem is "THE" problem, something that neither side can yield on. The burden will get heavier indeed.
