'Iran stonewalling IAEA about possible military dimensions'
    By ASSOCIATED PRESS
    VIENNA

Iran is stonewalling the UN nuclear watchdog agency about "possible military dimensions" to its suspect nuclear program, officials said Friday, urging the regime to clarify the mysterious role of a foreign explosives expert and shed light on other issues. In its latest report, the International Atomic Energy Agency said it has pressed the Islamic Republic to clarify its uranium enrichment activities and reassure the world that it's not trying to build an atomic weapon.

Iran insists its nuclear program is peaceful and geared solely toward generating electricity. The United States and key allies contend the country is covertly trying to build an atomic weapon. Ahead of September 2 six-power talks on Iran - and a key meeting of the IAEA's 35-nation board a week after that - the IAEA acknowledged that Tehran has been producing nuclear fuel at a slower rate and has allowed UN inspectors broader access to its main nuclear complex in the southern city of Natanz.

No surprises here. You just simply can't trust the mad mullahs in Tehran. Their religion tells them it is ok to lie to the infidels. They don't play by the same rules as the rest of the world.

Report: Iran nuclear program may have 'military dimensions'
By Yossi Melman, Haaretz Correspondent, and The Associated Press

A new report commissioned by the International Atomic Energy Agency says that Iran's nuclear energy program may contain "military dimensions." In other words, the report states that Iran may be working towards acquiring a nuclear weapons capability. The report was issued just prior to the annual meeting of IAEA member states which is scheduled to convene next month in Vienna.

A senior Iranian envoy angrily denounced the assessment as "fabrication," insisting his country has gone out of its way to be transparent and cooperative. The report alleges that Iran is refusing the agency's repeated requests for explanations and documentation over its past nuclear activities. Tehran's non-compliance has raised suspicions that it is aiming to attain nuclear weapons.

The IAEA's pronouncements are a farce. Israel knows that Iran has 23 nuclear sites of which the largest and most dangerous are Esfahan, Natanz and Arak. All are equipped to enrich uranium; plutonium is the specialty of Arak. Esfahan and Natanz are built to withstand heavy aerial attack (Natanz is 75 feet under bedrock) and are protected by sophisticated antiaircraft missile batteries. Esfahan employs more than 3,000 atomic scientists in a complex that spreads over more than 150 acres. These three sites are so-called "fast" illegal sites that are working at refining weapons grade nuclear material. The other 20 sites are so called "slow" legal sites. They appear relatively harmless but in a pinch could easily send their nuclear stocks to one of the three aforementioned sites. If so, each of those three sites could produce enough weapons grade plutonium within 6 months, with which to produce two nuclear bombs each. Israel cannot afford to allow that to happen.

If the world waits for the IAEA to act, Iran could build enough nukes to wipe all of us off the planet.
