Iranian Daily Papers: The Palestinians Must Not Accept Anything Less Than Israel's AnnihilationThree recent editorials in Iran's major conservative dailies Kayhan and Jomhouri-e Eslami gave a detailed account of Iran's position vis-à-vis the U.S. peace plan. It was claimed that the U.S. and Israel are trying to force on the Palestinians a plan that safeguards their own interests and perpetuates Palestinian inferiority, by activating the U.S.'s and Israel's proxies in the region - that is, Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and other Arabs from the "conciliation camp." Jomhouri-e Eslami called on the Palestinians to reinforce their resistance front and to reject anything less than Israel's annihilation, calling it "a goal within reach." Kayhan purported that "the Arabs who are in favor of conciliation," whom it dubbed "hypocrites within the [Islamic] nation," "are collaborating in the implementation of the Zionist-American version of peace by giving a green light to the Americans." It added that "peace - whether according to the Arab or the American formula - is tantamount to recognizing the brutal and artificial Zionist regime," and said that "unless this regime is completely eradicated from the region's political map, no Middle East peace is possible." [1]

In another editorial, Kayhan called on the Muslim countries not to participate in the talks with the U.S. and the Zionists, which the U.S. has set for September 2009, concomitantly with the U.N. General Assembly, in order to discuss the U.S. comprehensive peace initiative in the Middle East. The paper reiterated that "a solution [in the Middle East] can be achieved only by completely annihilating the Zionist regime, which is the source of all insecurity in the region," and that "the establishment of two states, Palestinian and Zionist, would be the same as totally crushing the rights of the Palestinian people, rather than securing these rights for them." It was also stated that "the conflict [between the U.S. and Israel] is not genuine, but merely a fraud aimed at deceiving the Arabs from the conciliation [camp]." [2]

Notice how Admadinejad and others are calling for the Muslims to unite and bring in their l2th imam or mahdi? This leads me to believe they're getting close to "going for it".

Interesting observation. You know, they think the guy is hiding in a well. He's been there for centuries...I would think he would be a little "pruney" looking by now.

That and the New Agers are now really anticipating their 'Messiah'(which is Maitreya).

Things are really getting close, that's for sure!

Iran is trying to stir up the Islamic nations against Israel in order to try and tie Israel's hands by having to fight Hezbollah, Hamas, and any nation that can be drug into the fray. Iran doesn't want to fight Israel: Iran wants to drop bombs on it.

The so-called Hidden Iman—the Mahdi, the Muslim Messiah—cannot come until the world is in chaos due to war and plague; until the Arabs throw off the reins of Western oppression and take possession of their land; until Syria is destroyed; and until death and fear will afflict the people of Baghdad and Iraq. It is said that "a fire will appear in the sky and a redness will cover them."

Ahmadinejad is convinced that it is his role, given him by Allah, to help bring about these conditions. He is therefore for war. Further he is already funding rebel groups (what we call terrorists, Al Qaeda, Hamas, Hezbollah, etc) in the Middle East to help them fight the foreigners.

Interestingly, the Biblical "Damascus" prophecy (Isaiah 17; Zechariah 9-14) fits in perfectly with the Islamic prophecy of the destruction of Syria. And the references to the fear and death in Iraq along with the fire in the sky and the redness that will cover the people will be an apt description should Iran and Israel engage in a nuclear exchange ... for it is over Iraq that the missiles and the anti-missile missiles will meet.

The time is getting so short! Are we faithfully doing what our Lord has given us to do? If not, we need to repent and begin obeying Him in our lives and our witness. When the Rapture occurs it will be so fast that there will be no time to repent. If we are to be found faithful servants on His return, we need to be doing that now.
