    'Hizbullah training Lebanese Armed Forces'
    By JPOST.COM STAFF AND AP

Lebanese defense officials believe there is a secret pact between Hizbullah and top officers in the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF), the Kuwaiti paper Asiyassa reported on Monday. According to the account, a LAF battalion will operate within the Hizbullah framework and have independence and access to the group's arsenal.

The paper said Israel gave the United States and European governments which have UNIFIL contingencies (France, Germany, Spain and Italy) information which proves Hizbullah was training dozens of LAF soldiers to prepare them to fight alongside Hizbullah guerrillas in case the IDF attacks Lebanon. Israel conveyed the information on July 1, according to the report. The LAF battalion in Hizbullah, according to Asiyassa, will include 150 troops who will have access to areas south of the Litani River from where Hizbullah fighters are currently banned in the framework of UN Resolution 1701. Hizbullah reportedly trained the officers on the use of specific Iranian missiles with average- and long-distance ranges.

No surprises here. Hizbollah pretty much owns Lebanon right now. The leader of Lebanon, Hariri, meets with Nasrallah and it appears that Lebanon has fallen hostage to the Hizbollah terrorist group. Look for Psalm 83 and maybe even Isaiah 17 to correct this little problem.

No surprises at all! Hezbollah and the Lebanese officers involved could announce their collusion in front of the UN, and the leaders of the world would just ignore it as though nothing at all had been said.

They are all just setting themselves up for Psalm 83 and Isaiah 17.

Exactly!!! Just like when these groups make statements to the effect that they will never recognize Israel, and the UN continues to ignore such, and just continues to pressure Israel.

There are times when Israel has made every concession that anyone could ask for, and the "Palestinian" response is to shoot rockets at Israeli citizens and blame Israel for not giving more. Instead of the UN pointing out everything that Israel has done to have peace, it blames Israel for not cooperating with the Palestinians. It makes no sense in the natural, but it makes total sense when looking through our Biblical lenses.

It does, absolutely!!! Suzanne, please see Chris' post on what Bibi said about the people of Gaza may be able to overcome Hamas, or something to that effect. I'm curious as to what he may have meant; maybe nothing, but then again, maybe he did.

That's nothing -- we've got 'em here, in our backyard -- in North Carolina.

In 2002, the Feds prosecuted a cell in Charlotte, but admitted after the trial that Hizbollah was still active in NC. Here's a link to the story on the trial and convictions: WCNC.com | Local News for Charlotte, North Carolina | Local News.

Even more interesting is where the story started, seven years earlier, in Statesville, NC, about 40-or-so miles north of Charlotte. I lived in Statesville at the time, and knew several people who worked at the store where this whole tale originates! It was VERY interesting in that town of under 30,000 when the arrests came, and when we found out what was happening almost literally under our noses! Here's a link to the Readers Digest version of the tale: A Hezbollah Terrorist Cell in Charlotte, NC: Fairly Routine | Your America | Reader's Digest. It's an interesting read!

Then, of course, there was the arrest on Monday near Raleigh, NC, of seven guys who allegedly trained to wage jihad after buying into Osama bin Laden's psychotic views: 7 arrested in terror plot - Local & State - News & Observer.

Raleigh is only 150 miles from where I now live. (Charlotte, with the remnants of that Hizbollah cell, is around 80 miles away).

While the proximity of these guys isn't frightening, because Christ said "Do not fear," it still gives one reason to pause...

    Training Manual

Lesson 1: How to provoke Israel into a counterstrike.
Lesson 2: How to hide safely during the counterstrikes while Israel destroys your infrastructure and kill civilians in the process.
Lesson 3: How to condemn Israel of 'war crimes' for the death of civilians and funnel money away from rebuilding the infrastructure and into weapon sales.

    Did I miss anything?

I read that thread last night, and I'm just not sure of what Bibi meant. He may be just encouraging the people of Gaza to take control of it away from Hamas, or he may have meant something else. What do you think?

I'm not sure of it, but something caught my eye about his statement. In a way it sounded like he was ready to do something about Hamas. I guess tht time will tell.

I agree. It may have been a message to some of the leaders that aren't part of Hamas. I guess that time will tell.
