another one of my college projects

me and three other guys have been tasked with building (physically) this next thing:
Fully-automatic crack egg machine in Japan

we gave it our own interpretation and you can see in the pic what turned out
until now about half the machine is built
in about two weeks it should be done

there was some tough competition
one guy built a rifle and my lecturer transformed into a kid for like 10 minutes, running around shooting on automatic
luckily the pressure in the cannister rapidly went down or else in his enthusiasm he could spare some people the headache of the coming exam session
i think my team did good though

Marvelous! I think I am getting senile. I went through the pictures and then again coming up with different pictures. Then I noticed that there are 3 or 4 JPGs in each posting. Even with all the pictures I was having trouble figuring out what each component is for. The packaging for the components is great. Could be improved upon only if special motors rather than electric drill, and (I think power supply in background). If make integral unit then whole frame could be molded in 1 or a couple of parts.

One question? The gearbox under the egg supply. Did your team mold the frame for it? It looks like it was special made since it does exactly what you want it to do. Seems it would be difficult to find plastic parts that fit the way your gearbox fits. Since it is full of specialty parts.

All in all I think it is a great job. I would give you an 'A' for assembly and component choices.

it was custom made in a 3d printer
cost 120$ (for the college) :))

all the motors are servo except for one step motor and one dc motor
the reason for that is that an ardoinu controler is supposed to handle the whole operation automaticaly

Had to look up what an ardoinu controler is. Don't recall ever hearing of that before. Oh well I flunked out of electrical engineering.

Open source, in this case, means that it's circuitry and coding is published for anyone to use and modify to fit there needs?

its open but like other open codes (for example the frame grabber of matlab) being open doesnt mean anyone can actually understand it...

I couldn't learn computer programming until I could afford to buy my own computer. But never could learn assembly language programming. Push, pop shift right and left all confused me.
