LOL
I wish I was Hobbes.
Return, O Lord! How long? And have compassion on Your servants.
Oh, satisfy us early with Your mercy, That we may rejoice and be glad all our days!

I do quite a bit of Catfishin! Well, lots of fishing period. And I just added Fly Fishing. Anyway, my boy and I usually bring home a mess every other weekend or so. We love catching the big ones, but prefer them in the 2-3lb range if we're going to cook em up. Here's a few pics.
Here's a pretty rare 3 lb Albino thats going on the wall.
And my boy with his first Carolina Large Mouth!
I was proud that day!:)
Thanks! He is a great little guy. He'll be 10 tomorrow. And I have no idea where the last 10 years have gone!
We fish as a family quite a bit. My wife loves to go. Baits her own hook and removes her own fish too! Unless it's a big one. Here's a little one she caught in the Cape Fear river.
And here's my daughter Hannah with her first catfish, caught the same day.
We spend a lot of time out doors, fishing and hiking. Which is just where I think God wants us. Not sitting in front of the TV
You have a beautiful family, budgolf. My wife would rather read a book while I fish. My 15 year daughter is too "prissy" for that fishing stuff--but I swear, I think my 10 year girl would take a bowie knife and wrestle down a catfish. She keeps pushing me to take her bear huntin' too.
Funny, but I took her (the 10 year old) cat fishing a couple months ago before it got too cold and only caught one Channel cat. So I gave it away to some Chinese guy when we were leaving (because it wasn't enough for me to clean and fool with). But my youngest daughter went off the deep end because I gave it away! I tried to explain he may have needed it for his family, but she wanted to eat it. hahah
Never seen an albino cat...

She does love it. Wants me to get her a bow for deer hunting. Maybe this next season. I've tried to emphasize to the kids these are good skills to have--just in case. Funny, but "just in case" may be upon us.
I told her I once when deer hunting with a Bowie Knife as a 19 year old kid--back in my "grizzly Adams days". Hahaha....must have been my Cherokee genetics rearing up. My ancestors were German-Jew too. Maybe that's why I've wanted to get a Shofar lately....LOL! (No, I never got a deer with a knife--and lucky for me. Because I was too stupid to realize a deer would have probably pounded my head into the ground!)

I catfish as well, spring and very early summer i focus on the channels, then I focus just on the flathead.
