Australian Judge Finds Muslim �Cultural Differences� Valid Excuse for Rape

Bit by bit, Western nations are adopting Muslim legal standards on blasphemy and on the treatment of women.

The excuses are manifold. Racism, cultural differences, Islamophobia, relativism� but it all ends the same way, with Western writers, artists and thinkers being censored and Western women being subject to Taliban treatment.

This is how it began.

An Afghan refugee would drive from his home in Tullamarine to nightclubs in Frankston late at night searching for drunk, vulnerable young woman to prey on, a court was told today.

He would pick them up in his white 1988 Honda Civic and rape them.

The victim was sitting on the footpath behind the 21st Century Dance Club when Esmatullah Sharifi approached her and offered to give her a lift to the Bay Hotel.

She accepted but became anxious and confused when they had been driving for an hour and she saw a road sign saying Sorrento.

Sharifi then pulled over into a dark side street and raped her in the front passenger seat.

�She began to scream and cry out for help,� Ms Dalziel said.

�The accused put his left hand over her mouth and his right hand around her neck, restricting her breathing. He said to her, �I�ll take you home after it, I�ll give you back your phone as well�.

In the rapist�s defense, his lawyer argued that he wasn�t at all clear about this whole �Women are human beings� thing.

Mr Regan said Esmatullah Sharifi was uneducated, illiterate, inexperienced in forming relationships with women, and was confused about the nature of consent. He is in Australia on a permanent protected visa.

The judge didn�t buy it then, but the usual lefty approach is to just keep appealing until you find a bleeding heart judge who accepts the horrible notion being put forward. And that didn�t take very long.

Granting leave to appeal, Court of Appeal Justice Robert Redlich said: �The sentencing judge rejected any suggestion (Esmatullah Sharifi) didn�t have a clear concept of consent in sexual relations.�

In April last year, a psychologist told the County Court that Sharifi had �an unclear concept of what constitutes consent in sexual relationships� in Australia.

�It proves, in my view, an adequate basis for most grounds of appeal that (Sharifi) wishes to pursue,� the judge said.

We�re not just dealing with ignorance of the law. We have Western judges setting out the notion that if a Muslim settler in Europe, America or Australia does not understand the concept that women can refuse sexual contact, that this is a mitigating circumstance.

Ms Dalziel said Esmatullah Sharifi claimed he did not have a great understanding of sexual mores in Australia but Judge Mark Dean disagreed.

�These are acts of violence,� the judge said. �Serious acts of violence against women, nothing to do with sexual mores. They�re brutal acts of violence.�

But they do. In Muslim sexual mores, serious acts of violence being committed against women are not a problem because the women do not belong to themselves. They belong to their family.

Islam does not recognize the same concept of individual rights as civilized jurisprudence does. Furthermore Muslims from tribal societies like Afghanistan bring those same tribal attitudes along.

As Australian columnist Andrew Bolt says, quite rightly,

If Afghan men have a culture which leaves them more likely to rape, and our courts have a culture of being more lenient as a consequence, I suggest Australian women have an interest in stopping the boats until we get this sorted out:

And that doesn�t just go only for Australia. Stop the boats. Stop the planes. Stop the trains.

The left cannot have it both ways.

Either Esmatullah Sharifi is responsible for his own actions. Or he isn�t. Either rape is cultural or it�s individual. Either Esmatullah Sharifi should be hit with the full force of the law or the Afghan culture of rape represents a threat to non-Muslim countries.

They can only pick one.

Port Scanning

I installed Sygate Personal Firewall on my computer last year. I don't know when it started but recently I have become aware that my ports are being scanned systematically.

Does anyone know what is involved with scanning a computer port? Seems that I read somewhere that there are 65536 ports in a Pentium computer. So taken 4 or 8 per day it will take awhile for them to scan all my ports. So far my firewall reports that it has blocked the scans.

in March, I was able to get me a new HP notebook but word expired after 60 days. I'm unable to edit my resumes which were on my flash drive FROM 2010. It tells me I have to purchase a windows product. I remember when I bought my HP desk top in 2010 that Microsoft no longer supported it but was to do a complete system restore to when it was new and I have office 2010, back again. Although not sure what to do with the laptop

Pope Francis met with German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Saturday during a quick trip to Rome. The two spoke privately for 45 minutes.

Seems that Post-Christian Europe is not as divorced from the Catholic Church as they might pretend. Germany's Merkel just played nice with the Pope to shore up her political standing. They agreed for the need of a 'strong Europe.'

VATICAN CITY (AP) � German Chancellor Angela Merkel, mindful of the importance of Christian voters in September elections, met with Pope Francis on Saturday during a quick trip to Rome that focused on helping victims of Europe's economic crisis and emphasizing the continent's Christian roots.

Merkel spoke privately for 45 minutes with the pope at the Apostolic Palace, after exchanging cordial greetings in German.

Her Christian Democrat party depends heavily on support from Protestant and Catholic voters, and the chat and photo opportunity could be a welcome campaign boost for a leader largely identified by Europe's economically suffering citizens as a champion of debt reduction, including painful austerity across much of the continent.

For its part, the Vatican is eager for allies in its campaign to win over more Catholics. Francis was leading a sort of pep rally for the faith in St. Peter's Square Saturday evening, attended by about 150,000 people.

Most were from Europe but many came from the pope's native South America. They sang and prayed during an hours-long gathering ahead of the pope's appearance.

On Thursday, Francis blasted what he called a "cult of money" in a global financial system that ends up tyrannizing, not helping, the world's poor.

Dragons: Myth or fact?

Dinosaurs were generally known as dragons before 1841 when they were renamed 'dinosaur' after the first archeological find. There are in fact many more mentions of dragon in the 1611 translation of the bible than modern translations. Some KJV have kept the word dragon in the texts. There are many references which have been changed from dragon to another animal like a jackal in modern translations. The word dragon and dragons are found 22 times in the Old Testament and 12 times in the New Testament in the book of Revelation.

Except for the New Testament, almost in every case in the Old Testament, the words 'dragon' and 'dragons' have been replaced with jackals, serpents, monster, sea serpent, sea monster, sea creatures. Why was it changed? Due to a modern belief that dragons couldn't be real, and as the passages were clearly speaking of creatures, translators substituted the word 'dragon' with 'jackal' to be more 'palatable' for the modern mindset. Even the snake 'asp' was changed to 'cobra', the cobra being viewed as more venomous, so a more apt word to use. I wont cover all 22 in the OT, but I will cover some to help paint the picture.

Take for example Nehemiah 2:13 where modern translations have changed dragon well to Jackal well.

And I went out by night by the gate of the valley, even before the dragon ( Tannin תַּנִּין) well, and to the dung port, and viewed the walls of Jerusalem, which were broken down, and the gates thereof were consumed with fire. Named most probably after the creatures which drank at the well at one stage.

Original Word: תַּנִּין
Part of Speech: Noun Masculine
Transliteration:tannin
Phonetic Spelling: (tan-neen')
Short Definition: monster

The following is actually the same Hebrew word for dragon which Job used in Job 30:29.

Let's look at Psalm 44:19 which uses this same Hebrew word Tannin (now translated Jackal by most modern translations)

Though thou hast sore broken us in the place of dragons, and covered us with the shadow of death

Whilst in poetic format, it was clearly not a mythical place or mythical creatures to the writer.

Ps 148:7 also uses this same Hebrew word (translated into 'great sea creatures' in modern translations) This psalm is a call to all of creation to praise the Lord, and a mythical creature would not be called upon to praise the Lord. Again, (sea)dragons (most likely the largest creatures known to the psalmist) are referenced.

Praise the LORD from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps:

The same Hebrew word is again found in Isaiah 34:13 and again, the context indicates it is creatures being referred to as opposed to a mythical creature or satan.

Quote:

And thorns shall come up in her palaces, nettles and brambles in the fortresses thereof: and it shall be an habitation of dragons, and a court for owls.

Isaiah 35:7 actually speaks of where dragons lay, so there is no doubt about these being real creatures been spoken of in this context.

Quote:

And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.

Isaiah 43:20 indicates even more clearly that dragons are creatures, saying that they shall honour God because He gives them waters in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.

Quote:

The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert

Again the following word 'dragons' is translated jackals in modern translations and 'owls' has been changed to ostriches. There is more than just a little difference between these creatures! What is interesting is that Micah speaks of the wailing of the dragons and mourning of the owls, so very clearly real creatures being referenced. Micah 1:8

Therefore I will wail and howl, I will go stripped and naked: I will make a wailing like the dragons, and mourning as the owls.

I find the original translation very interesting in this respect as it gives a different overview of the use of the word dragon and it does make one wonder why translators felt the need to change certain words. I am also curious as to what these dragons looked like. Is it possible that there were some remnants of dinosaurs which survived the flood, safely tucked away in Noah's ark and referenced throughout scripture?

Given the discovery of dinosaur blood, protein and soft tissue in recent years, one must accept that dinosaurs have a much more recent past than evolutionists would have us believe.

"There is confusion in the world between a political solution and terrorism. They think a political conference will halt terrorists in the country.
