No man, woman, or child can bring another man, woman, or child to salvation unless God draws that person (John 6:44) Our job is not to try to lure or drive the fish into the net, but merely to cast out the net. Those fish that are drawn will swim in. This does not mean that we do not answer objections and questions; it does mean we do not try to debate a person into the Church. It cannot be done. Juliebeth's experience on Facebook shows the futility. And it is not just on Facebook. It is everywhere in life as well. All we can do is a) make sure that our own lives are in fact witnesses to the reality of of new life in Christ; b) walk prayerfully; c) proclaim the gospel; d) lift up Jesus. The Holy Spirit does the saving. And the hearts He has prepared WILL accept the gift.
