Nominations could provoke constitutional fight

Pushing the limits of his recess appointment powers, President Obama on Wednesday bypassed the
Senate to install three members of the National Labor Relations Board and a director for the controversial
new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau - moves Republicans said amounted to unconstitutional power grabs.

Well, the Constitution has provided a government of three branches, each with power to limit the others. Hopefully, using the Constitutional means at their disposal, the other branches will act in the interests of the country against a doctrinaire president who is trying to co-opt the mechanism of government in order to see his socialist socioeconomic philosophy brought into being in America. He is so convinced of the correctness of his ideology that he will do anything to try to ensure its implementation. He is convinced that in it lies the salvation of America. This is the basis from which he preached his "change" message that so many Americans bought three years ago. Unfortunately, too few stopped to ask the obvious questions: "Change what, exactly? And from what, to what?"

To be truthful, I'm not really sure how I felt after reading this article over at American Thinker web site.

Did President Obama actually step around the Constitution in making the apointments he's recently made? And, if so, where are the ones to step up and call him on this?

I know, when considering end time studies from God's Word, the US has to deminish, if not outright dissapear. Yet, it's hard seeing and watching it take place.

I'll be the first to admit; I love my country and am very proud of where I live. However, I do realize, God's word CLEARLY tells me, this is NOT my home, only a temporary place until it's time to be taken to my REAL home. Yet, I will admit, it's still painful to see it, America, coming apart.

All one can do is take solace in the fact that everything is working out according to God's master plan and soon this will all be a memory....
