Lies for Political Purposes

Note from Berit: Lies, slander and false accusations have been favored weapons in political battles through the ages. In communist and other tyrannical regimes, those deceptive tactics have silenced countless victims through the years. Now, in America's rising post-Christian era, such cruel assaults are reviving fast. And with today's global (and often sensational) media, the malicious messages travel fast and far.

FIRST STORY: Karen Kraushaar

Karen Kraushaar is the “anonymous woman” who filed the sexual harassment complaint against Herman Cain while they were at the National Restaurant Association. Yesterday Karen’s brother-in-law “outed” her.

Today we learn that Karen filed a similar complaint while at her next job (INS in Justice Department); but when confronted by the news media about that complaint, she said she just could not remember the details. Huh? She can remember every last detail from her complaint against Cain (1999) but cannot remember the details of her own complaint in 2003 while at INS.

Karen’s working relationship with fellow staffers was so troublesome at the INS that they were told to have a witness around whenever talking to her.

Kraushaar now works in the Obama administration’s office of the U. S. Treasury where she is a spokeswoman for the inspector general. This ties her directly to “the Democrat machine” that would like nothing better than to destroy Herman Cain because Obama fears running against Cain who is a highly successful, Afro-American, conservative businessman.

Also, it is interesting to note that Kraushaar started her career in Washington, D.C. as a reporter. No wonder she wants to hold a joint news conference where she can use her media magic to create her own personna.

SECOND STORY: Sharon Bialek

Sharon Bialek, a Chicago [Illinois] woman who worked at the National Restaurant Association in the mid-1990s has come forward to say that Herman Cain sexually harassed her while she was looking for a job…

Bialek was widely reported by the media to be a Republican, thus attempting to make it appear that Bialek was not involved with the Democrat machine in lynching Republican Herman Cain. It turns out that in Illinois, there is no place on the voter registration form to list party affiliation.

If we believe that Herman Cain is being lynched for being the conservative frontrunner on the Republican ticket, we can stop the “hemorrhaging” by not believing the lies and by using our logical reasoning skills.

First of all, as a woman who has worked in the workplace for 36 years, I can unequivocally say that if Herman Cain had done to me what Sharon Bialek has accused him of doing to her, I would not have waited 14 years to scream “sexual harassment”!

Second, because Herman Cain was the CEO of the National Restaurant Association and had already experienced very successful years with the Department of the Navy, Coca Cola Company, Pillsbury, Burger King, Godfathers’ Pizza, and the Federal Reserve of Kansas City, he was bound to be a wealthy person. If Bialek’s case was so strong, why didn’t she sue Herman Cain 14 years ago? Why did she bring these charges up now instead of 14 years ago? Why did she choose Gloria Allred to represent her?

Obviously we know why Bialek chose Gloria Allred! Take a look at Allred’s own life – twice divorced, feminist attorney, and has represented a myriad of outrageous cases (many of which she lost).

GLORIA ALLRED’S CHECKERED PAST: Allred represented:

the case against the Boy Scouts for what Allred called “gender apartheid,”
a drug store that had separate boys’ and girls’ toy sections,
an exclusive nightclub for men that a woman wanted to join
Kelly Fisher when she sued because her boyfriend had begun a highly publicized affair with Diana (Princess of Wales)
a woman who filed a sexual harassment case against Arnold Schwarzenegger
a suit against an actor for raping his live-in girlfriend even though she continued to stay with him for 15 more months
an age discrimination suit against Circuit City
Britney Spears’ bodyguard over a child custody case
a woman who had to take off her nipple rings during a TSA search
a suit against Rob Lowe for sexual harassment
a lawsuit in California for equal marriage rights for lesbian and gay couples
a pornographic actress
Tiger Woods’ alleged mistress
a woman arrested for prostitution
a 16-year old girl supposedly sexually abused by a movie director
Jodie Fisher in a sexual harassment claim
an extra on a film shoot who was molested by an actor
Ginger Lee (pornographic actress)
and a group of cocktail waitresses who were fired from a casino.

For her “crowning glory,” Gloria Allred was involved with allegations against a baseball coach for inappropriate behavior in front of two young girls; but at Allred’s press conference, she simulated the same objectionable behavior in front of the same two young girls. Excerpts from "The Real Scandal" by Thomas Sowell:

"The real scandal goes far beyond the case of Herman Cain and his accusers. The real scandal is that the law allows people to impose heavy costs on others at little or no cost to themselves. That is a perfect setting for legalized extortion. ...people who have zero basis for a lawsuit, under the law as written, can still create enough uncertainty to extract money from people who cannot afford the risk of going to trial....

".If we had a legal system where judges threw frivolous cases out of court, instead of letting them go to trial, that would put a damper on legalized extortion. If those who bring charges that do not stand up in court had to pay the other party for their legal fees -- and should have to pay for their time as well -- these games could not go on....

"The same mainstream media whose responses to proven charges against Bill Clinton was, 'Let's move on,' is not about to move on from unproven charges against Herman Cain. What role does race play in all this? ... The motivation is far more likely to be politics, but politics makes a prominent black conservative like Clarence Thomas or Herman Cain far more dangerous to the Democrats than an equally prominent white conservative....

"In this political context, merely defeating a black conservative at the polls...is not enough. He must be destroyed as an influence in the future -- and character assassination is the most obvious way to do it."

Something tells me, this political "season" we're moving in to will be one of the most, if not THE most, horrible campaigning season we've ever witnessed. Democrats, and I'm sure some Republicans, will be pulling out all that will be necessary to win victory. But, victory at what cost? But, that isn't the question, nor concern, is it??? How sad....
