Default How to permanently delete your Facebook account

The following instructions are not for deactivating a Facebook account, but a permanent deletion.

Please note: Facebook will refuse to close your account unless you delete every last bit of you profile and wall content:
mini-feeds, friends, avatar, posts, interests, status updates, photos, private messages >>> everything!

Deleting 1,000s of photos, posts, etc. will take some time so you may find that job a lesser burden by deleting the content over a period of days.

Once you have cleared your account, contact Facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/login.php?n...delete_account

Almost forgot, the last thing you should delete is a message posted in advance informing your friends & family about closing your account.

Hey Forgiven, I asked for my account to be deleted and I received this letter from them saying it takes up to 14 days.

    Hi anath

I'm sorry! I forgot to mention that it will take 14 days until the process is finalized.

Fb has a 14 day "grace period" should one regret their decision and choose to return. Sign in before then and the account comes back to life...

DO NOT attempt to sign into Facebook before the 14 days have passed (to verify your account was deleted) unless you receive an email notification stating the account is (permanently) closed.

    I hope this helps

I jumped through this hoop also, anath. Twice! After the first time, I got the same note from FB and after the 14 days, I assumed my account was permanently closed. But a while back, I learned my new pastor uses FB quite often, so I decided to get back on. All it took was signing back on, and presto, FB sends this message welcoming me back, as if I'd never left! So, I really question whether our accounts are permanently closed.
After being on FB for a short time again, I got sick of FB and went through the 14 day routine again.

I have never received any notice from FB that my account was permanently closed.
Ephesians 5:18 (New King James Version)

18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit,

I Come To The Garden Alone Hymn

And He walks with me, and He talks with me,
    And He tells me I am His own;
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
    None other has ever known.

    Hi all

If you folks don't receive a confirmation email, don't sign into Fb - try the advice given in the above link:
"How to Permanently Delete a Facebook Account (with screenshots)".

That article says to contact Fb at privacy@facebook.com along with a cc to
    support@facebook.com and info@facebook.com.

Lord willing, I'll be closing my account soon requesting they send verification that my account was & is officially deleted.

Leaving Fb is similar to escaping the tentacles of a huge octopus (or the Hotel California)
