Before, I ran XP Pro SP2, and everything worked well - I could connect to my wireless router without a problem. But now, after wasting time and energy figuring out what's wrong with my system, I still can't find the source of the problem.
Basically, what's happening is this: if I'm not connected to the router through its wired connection, the wi-fi won't connect at all. If I'm already wired and try to connect through wi-fi, the connection is established (or at least my computer says so, and I can see my lappy in my router's menu).
I should mention I'm using a Toshiba Satellite L40-18W that has a Realtek RTL8187B wireless card, and I'm using the XP drivers provided on the European Toshiba website.
If anybody has any idea how I can solve this, please let me know =/
