    Default Are Roman Catholics Christians?

Really interesting tract from Jack Chick that explains all the false teachings in the RCC. Praying that Catholics give up works based salvation plans and trust in Jesus only!

    Are Roman Catholics Christians?
A good overview of Roman Catholicism.

When I was a teenager and a new convert, I was in Detroit on visitation for one of my churches Sunday school bus routes. I walked by a Catholic church which took up an entire block with its building and grounds. They were having something for the youth and had some booths set up. I walked up to one of the booths and shared with the nun and young people the "Romans Road." The nun acted as if I was speaking a foreign language, as did a priest who came shortly afterwards. The priest politely, but forcefully, asked me to leave. It was my first experience as a new Christian, in dealing with the Roman Catholic Church.

    Romans Road of Scripture

    I. Romans 3:10

As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one.

    II. Romans 3:23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.

    III. Romans 5:8
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

    IV. Romans 5:12

Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.

    V. Romans 6:23

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through
    Jesus Christ our Lord.

    VI. Romans 10:9-11

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt
believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with
the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

    VII. Romans 10:13

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

P.S. When I became a Christian, at the age of seventeen, all of my "friends" from high school left me except for one, who was, and probably still is, a Roman Catholic. He remained a supportive friend for our senior year together, and said he was glad for my new interest in Jesus Christ. I'm sure that despite the Catcatechism of the Catholic church, there will be many who called themselves Roman Catholic in Heaven, the same as there will be some of those who belong to the Freemasons in Heaven, and I wouldn't be surprised if there are some protestants and Baptists, etc, in Hell. The RCC is however, in error and opposition to God's word, and there are many there who have religion, but do not know, in a personal way, Jesus Christ.

First, I think you have to define "Christian".

    The internet standard definition:

    1. One who professes belief in Jesus as Christ or follows the religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus.
    2. One who lives according to the teachings of Jesus.

If you follow this definition, then Roman Catholics are Christians.

If you follow this definition (From gotquestions.org):

A true Christian is a person who has put faith and trust in the person and work of Jesus Christ, including His death on the cross as payment for sins and His resurrection on the third day.

Then not all Roman Catholics are Christians.

When the rapture occurs, there will not be a calling for "Roman Catholics" "Lutherans" ect ect.

We don't go by the standard secular internet definition. We should go by the biblical definition and what it says about being saved. The Bible says that there is no name under Heaven in which to be saved except for Jesus. You are saved if you believe SOLELY on the completed work, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

According to the RCC, you have to be a RCC church member, do sacraments, good works, let a priest absolve your sin, spend time in purgatory, and they have even made Mary co-redeemer.

Further, you have to believe in the Jesus of the Bible, not the RCC Jesus.

If you follow this definition (From gotquestions.org):

A true Christian is a person who has put faith and trust in the person and work of Jesus Christ, including His death on the cross as payment for sins and His resurrection on the third day.

The sad fact is that the RCC is the largest cult in the world. Islam is the largest pagan religion, but even the RCC is a variation of the mother-child pagan cult religion. On the rapture day, those Catholics, Lutherans, etc. and even includes Baptists, Methodists, etc. who believe SOLELY on Jesus work on the Cross, death, burial, and resurrection will be saved. Those Baptists, Methodists, Catholics, Lutherans, etc. that don't believe in that are going to have a long talk with Jesus.
