Democrats pledge support for wide access to abortion

    By Mike Dorning Washington Bureau
    Published July 18, 2007

WASHINGTON -- Elizabeth Edwards said Tuesday that her husband's health-care plan would provide insurance coverage of abortion.

Speaking on behalf of Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards before the family planning and abortion-rights group Planned Parenthood Action Fund, Edwards lauded her husband's health-care proposal as "a true universal health-care plan" that would cover "all reproductive health services, including pregnancy termination," referring to abortion
Asked about his proposal for expanded access to health insurance, Obama said it would cover "reproductive-health services." Contacted afterward, an Obama spokesman said that included abortions.

Well, he's just another socialist so he's going to go for any early indoctrination as long as it's PC enough.

It's not like tomato-tamato, what someone like Obama means by an "age-approriate" time, think:What would NAMBLA do?

    Default What a deal!

Isn't it nice to know that your kids could understand sex before they learn about the hoax of Santa and the Easter Bunny? It's not about "education"...it's about losing innocents! Thank God that children understand who He is before government creeps can get their hands on them!

Yes, it IS about losing innocents. It's not the Gov.'s job to inform my children about sex. It's MY job. I told my boys when I thought they were mature enought to understand. That maturity comes at different ages. A kindergartner (in my opinion) only needs to know that there are little boys and there are little girls. They need to know that we keep our hands to ourselves and that we share our toys. Good Grief! These poor little children don't get to enjoy their childhood long do they?

All the more disturbing because parents have no idea what the kids are actually learning about sex. The only thing I learned about "reproduction" in kindergarten was when we hatched chicks in our classroom.

I learned about sex in fifth grade. It was very graphically presented too. My parents had already told me some things, so it wasn't too shocking.

Absolutely right! And just exactly WHO is it that will decide what is and is not "appropriate" for kindergarteners to know about sex? Silly me, I always thought that was a parent's prerogative. Teach them about sex but take away their music and art classes. Insanity!

Funny, I tried to read the article, and was told I had to buy a membership with the site to see it. No thanks.

I think man's arrogance is so elevated, he thinks it's "progressive" to teach children as young as possible about sex. Not procreation, sex.

I knew man was morally bankrupt when abortion was tolerated. NO, not tolerated, encouraged, taught, and justified. How barbaric!

One time when man tried to progress society beyond God's plan, they built the tower of Babel. Now, we want to rewrite God's intentions for sex and procreation. Amazing He had abided us this long!

yep,, thats all the 'sex ed' they need at that age, i don't know WHY anyone thinks they need to know any more than that at that time.
with the exception of teaching them to be wary of adults abusing them and how to recognize and who to tell about it... a subject that needs to be handled far more carefully than a public school is capable of IMHO

I'm never at a loss for words. That being said, he's a disgusting human being for not only broaching this subject, but for having anything to do with Planned Parenthood.
