    Default Pew Research Center

    Released: June 4, 2012
Partisan Polarization Surges in Bush, Obama Years

    Trends in American Values: 1987-2012

SECTION 6: RELIGION AND SOCIAL VALUES

The United States continues to be a highly religious nation. Most Americans say they belong to a particular faith and large percentages agree with statements about key religious beliefs and behaviors.
About three-quarters of the public (76%) say prayer is an important part of their daily life, while an identical percentage agrees that “we will all be called before God at the Judgment Day to answer for our sins.” And eight-in-ten say they never doubt the existence of God.
The percentage of the public agreeing with all three statements has shifted little since the first Pew Research values survey in 1987. That year, 68% of respondents agreed with all three statements; this year 67% do so.
Nonetheless, there are some demographic and partisan differences over religious values. In the current survey, 68% of say they never doubt the existence of God, a decline of 15 points since 2007. Over this period, the proportion of older age cohorts expressing firm belief in God has remained stable.
As a result, the gap between the oldest Americans—the Silent generation – and the youngest, which was just six points in 2007, has increased to 21 points today (89% of Silent generation vs. 68% of Millennials)
There have been smaller declines in the percentages of Millennials agreeing to the other two statements about core religious beliefs – the personal importance of prayer and belief in a Judgment Day.
Still, just 55% of Millennials agree with all three religious values; among older age cohorts, two-thirds or more agree with all three religion statements.

See the dramatic decline once the Anti-Christ dogma prevailed in the Millennial Generation
Consider the words of Omar M. Ahmad, founder of CAIR: "Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant." ... "The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America , and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth."

This final graph tells me all too clearly that we Christian adults have badly failed—in deed, ARE badly failing—our young people. And this is not a failure that will hamper them in life, but one that will result in them suffering the eternal torments of Hell.

Where are the men and women after God's own heart whose hearts are burdened for the young people? Not those who think that being like the young will attract the young, but those who hold the truth in their own hearts and desire to share it with those whose hearts are filled with everything this world seems to offer but are still shriveled and empty? The utter emptiness of many young hearts is shown nightly on the news as we see more and more examples of callous cruelty among young people.

Godless Adults (with Christian families) of years ago first came from Christian homes where they went to Church every Sunday and heard teaching from the Bible in their everyday lessons in schools, they heard the wisdom of God spoken of in everyday conversations and in the media. Even those without God agreed with Christians backd then that lying, stealing, cheating & violence were not good things.

The first lot of Godless Adults had NO excuse they chose to become the wild generation that decided to give God the flick and live life as they wanted and eroded the teaching of the Lord for the NEXT generation.

Did the NEXT Generation turn back to God??? NO! They saw the bad outcomes of their parents removing God from their lives, the divorces, the adultery, free love and all the children born out of wedlock, the increase in criminal activity. All this bad outcomes were not enough to turn them back to God but the NEXT Generation decided to SIN even more than their parents. So now we have open, brazen homosexulality, an increase in sexually transmitted diseases, increase in promiscuity and greater failure of relationships and of course legalised abortions and the list goes on...

So the generation that came after the NEXT generation lives in a misery not due to failure of those preaching and teaching the TRUE Word of God. No the current young generations who have not grown up with prayer in schools and good christian morals have come into a world that the previous generation choose to give them.

Not Christian Failure but stubborn Sinful rebellion is to blame!!!

No one is beyond knowing God because just like He made himself known to our Ancestors and to our Great Grandparents when Churches were full, He can still making Himself known to the Current Generation but they don't want to know HIM! TRUE Preaching and Teaching of God's Word is still being done by faithful Believers. The sinful rebellious masses are holding their hands over theirs ears so not to hear.

Unfortunately the numbers of the True Believers are becoming less but we are being faithful and continuing to reach out with God's message of salvaiton if any are willing to receive it!! There is no failure of those who are God's children.
