Personally, I use State Farm. However, my son, with a rather horrible recent history in driving, could only find coverage with Progressive. And, to be truthful, it wasn't really that bad of a price either. I would still rather see him with State Farm but, right now, State Farm won't cover him. Hopefully, at some later date, that will change...

This is one reason that I don't have Progressive. I learned about it through a web banner advertisement that I saw which prominently featured an antique photograph of a lesbian couple with the words: "living up to our name".

A-ha! We have Farmers, we have never investigated a thing deeper than the price, we used to have Geico but they wouldn't cover our home owners insurance because we had a trampoline, we switched everything to Farmers because they would. We no longer own that home or trampoline but we still have Farmers .

We have Progressive. It was the cheapest they could find for us at the insurance company. The lady checked them all. It's $100.88 per month for the insurance for our van. We can barely afford that!

The ACLU probably started out with good intentions. Stopping wrongs commited against people. Stopping racist and sexist practices, etc. Those are good ideas, but now that they don't have any civil rights battles to fight anymore they are just going after stupid things. I saw something on their fb page a while back where they were suing Apple I think it was, because on some new device, when you searched for "abortion" with their browser it gives you crisis pregnancy centers that don't provide abortion. That's a reason for a lawsuit??? In what world?? A reason for a lawsuit would be "I'm not going to hire you for this job that you are perfectly qualified for because you are a woman/black/Jewish/a legal immigrant, etc" not over what browser some company uses! The ACLU should defend our rights too! Christians have just as many rights as others have. I've seen where the ACLU has ignored real problems in society that people have tried to come to them with but took ridiculous cases that only involves people getting their feelings hurt. They are also pushing for illegal immigrants rights. I have nothing at all agaisnt immigrants. We are a country founded on immigrants. The key word is "illegal" there. We have a system in place for legally entering this country. It's not like our borders are closed to everybody. Anybody can become an American citizen. I'm sorry if their countries are bad. I'm sorry that they have a hard time over there. That doesn't give them the right to not follow the protocol to become American. Why the ACLU is trying to protect them, I don't know. I could see a program for illegals to register now and do the right thing and follow the rules to become citizens, and I'd support that, but it doesn't seem that they would even want to support it. If they allowed all the illegals here now to register and begin the process of becoming citizens and then deported all illegals who come in after that, I would have no problem with it. But to the ACLU that just seems mean. It's not. It's common sense! Illegal is illegal. The ACLU is made up of lawyers that are supposed to uphold the law. They should understand what the word "illegal" means.

Anyway, I have issues with the ACLU as it is now. I still can't afford any other insurance though, and so this is what I have to have.
