Default Court: “Jesus” Prayers Can Be Banned

Court: “Jesus” Prayers Can Be Banned | FOX News & Commentary: Todd Starnes

The Supreme Court will not intervene in a controversy over Christian prayers delivered before commission meetings in Forsyth County, North Carolina. The North Carolina chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union and Americans United for Separation of Church and State praised the decision as a victory for the First Amendment.

The high court’s decision leaves in place a federal appeals court ruling that held that the predominantly Christian prayers at the start of commission meetings violated the First Amendment’s alleged ban on government endorsement of a particular religion.
The court found that more than three-quarters of the 33 invocations given before meetings between May 2007 and December 2008 referred to “Jesus,” “Jesus Christ,” “Christ,” or “Savior.”
That, according to the court was a problem.

Amazing love! How can it be that Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?

It's crazy, these people do not understand that they will bow one day to Jesus and give an account of their life

This was over two people, Janet Joyner and Constance Lynn Blackmon, complaining that :

"The prayers given at the invitation of the Forsyth County Commissioners at meetings that I have attended made me feel not just unwelcome, but coerced by my government into endorsing Christian prayer," said Plaintiff Janet Joyner. "I am very happy with the Court’s ruling today because our government is supposed to be inclusive of all Forsyth County residents."

I wonder why prayer would make someone feel uncomfortable? I mean after all, why would someone not want to hear the name of Jesus Christ?

The honorable gentlemen and ladies of the Supreme Court of the United States are asses. Their liberal biases have prevented them from a fair and accurate interpretation of the First Amendment which in no way speaks of separation of church and state. Indeed, were it to have so spoken, then the founding fathers who wrote the Constitution and the earliest presidents would all have been in violation of it.

    Amendment #1 to the Constitution

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of of grievances.

    Two Big problems:

#1 The courts are becoming a weapon of the government against the citizens.

#2 The Executive Branch was intended to be the weakest branch, especially so close to the patriot blood spilled to break the free from the monarch.
Consider the words of Omar M. Ahmad, founder of CAIR: "Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant." ... "The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should be the highest authority in America , and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth."
