In my opinion:
You, or me,
can become a homosexual IF
certain conditions are met.
But you CANNOT be born that way.

The Primary condition of course is SIN, we were all born in SIN and its flowering can be manifest in all kinds of corrupt behavior, not just sexual preferrences.

I beleive that a child can be corrupted genetically before the age of er... say 12.
i suppose a genetic corruption could be occurring right up to 15..

The CAUSES of that genetic and moral corruption, apart from sin,
are probably
childhood abuse either emotionally or sexually,
by such things as separation from parents,
or parents separating,
over dicipline, a form of physical abuse,
loneliness, isolation, leading to attachments to the same sex?
Exposure to pornography or immoral enviornment.

Some people tend to think that when your born your born that way, and thats how you stay,
yet we know that children grow up, you don't see any 6 foot tall babies walking around, do you?

Homosexuals and lesbians should not be excluded from fellowship
EXCEPT when they continue to live that way, after a warning that such behavior is not acceptable to God.
No person should be active in ministry while active as a gay.

Some ministrys want to narrow mindedly attack this single issue of homosexuals,
ADULTERY is the same in evil, it's not somehow a cleaner sin.
Lying is hated by God, you won't get into heaven as a liar.
Stealing etc etc etc. their all sins.
the office of Pastor, or minister or whatever its titles are sacred duties. even elders and deacons.

Can you be born that way?
NO.

But here's a better question,
Can you be changed from a homosexual to a hetrosexual?

I think, yes most definately. It all depends on how entrenched the sin is
and how much effort is put into prayer.

If you don't know why you have inclinations, but admit you do, are you forced to act upon those feelings? In my life, I have been enamored by "things" dreampt of owning them, but never stole or bought them. I am guilty of "covetness" but not of theivery.

I think MOST same sex inclinations are either developed through disappointments or cultural manipulations, but I cannot rule out some being born that way. It still boils down to choice or free will. Either way.

I've been reading stuff, and there have been several scientific studies, none of which showed any biological differences or genes causing such behavior.

Why all the speculation? Read the progression in Romans 1, and make the parallel to the peculiarites of Sodom, and the signs in our society. Rampant, glorified perversion is a sign of judgement already rendered and more judgement to come. We are all born with the sin nature, it's how far we dabble into it that determines how dirty and sick we get. Notice the sickness reaped from that perversion is not just physical.

Everyone comes into this world as an innocent baby. I've never met a gay baby yet.

I firmly believe that this is a choice one makes. Some folks like to argue that they saw signs of a person being gay while still a child. I would ask what that child has been exposed to to consider such a behavior.

There is just no gray area on this issue for me. If you don't take a stand, then the enemy has a much easier time of persuading you to their way of thinking. Beware of the wolves in sheep clothings.....
