Vicki sent me this about her home state. What a great video from Ray Stevens. I think it says it all. And the sentiments could be applied to one degree or another to every state in the Union.

Thank you, I thought I had seen all of Ray's vids, this is one I had not. Tell Vicki I love beautiful Arizona! Yes indeed, God please save Arizona![]()
Amazing love! How can it be that Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?
Awesome!
God Save Us All!
Hi!

This is an excellent vid, thank you Ray Stevens!
Having been to these lay up areas where all the back packs and various personal items have been carelessly discarded, I can't help but wonder where all the environmental groups are, and why they aren't speaking out against this horrible ecological disaster. These photos aren't staged or doctored, and there are MANY of these lay up areas stretching for hundreds of miles.
It seems the only ones actively fighting this are the good people of Arizona and many of you helping to spread the word of what's happening. Thank you!
Yes, God Save Arizona!

And He walks with me, and He talks with me,
And He tells me I am His own;
And the joy we share as we tarry there,
None other has ever known.

Hi Meg,
A lay up area is where the illegals will stop and rendezvous for a ride on their trip north. Prior to arriving at the lay up area they've been traveling on foot usually at night, and they will take this opportunity to discard items they no longer need or want. These areas aren't necessarily close to the border as I've seen them over 30 miles north of the border. There are also many lay up areas that are much smaller than those pictured and can be literally anywhere.
We live about 50 miles north of the border and I've seen evidence of them on my property. They will cross our place and then lay up on the Interstate right-of-way and get a ride. This is a relatively new phenomenon in our immediate area, and I've been busy clearing out this right-of-way of all brush and weeds so there is no cover in which to hide. This has been a huge undertaking for me as we have about a quarter mile of Interstate frontage and I'm not permitted to take my tractor out there to make quick work of it.![]()

My goodness! John, my heart goes out to you in a major way! Why can't you use your tractor on your property??? Also, are dogs any good, --oh thats right, run a pack of aggressive Dobies out there, and when someone gets bitten, you're the criminal. Never mind...
May the Holy Lord guard your home...![]()

Hi Meg,
The land I'm cleaning up is the right-of-way for the Interstate itself. It's the space in between the asphalt of the freeway and my fence. I'm eliminating the hiding places as well as cutting down on the amount brush that could cause a fire along the Interstate. The State is supposed to do this work, but thanks to the wonderful state of the economy, they have no money to do it, so they pretty much turn a blind eye to what I'm doing. They can't authorize me to do it, and officially can't approve of it, but they are real happy I'm doing it. They have a brush hog that is supposed to clear about 10 feet near the asphalt, but our sector has 1,600 miles of highway and the brush hog is currently broken down.
Yes, the National Guard is assisting the Border Patrol, but their numbers are too few to make any meaningful difference. I believe Senator McCain requested 6,000 troops, and BHO graciously sent only 350!

OK, that makes a lot of sense. With the economy in the shape its in, a lot of things simply aren't normal any more... It is both very decent and probably the only sane choice that you're doing the maintenance out there.
Unfortunately, that sounds like a typical government style response. Are they doing any good at all? Unfortunately, Mexico has let the criminals have free reign for an awfully long tome, and now its reproduced to a scale that pretty well defies any hope for control. For the record, there can be no question that evangelism has been tried down there, economic development too, but nothing seems to work. You can lead a horse to water... Man, my heart goes out to you...Yes, the National Guard is assisting the Border Patrol, but their numbers are too few to make any meaningful difference.
