    Default Selective Benifits????

My Aunt has Vets Benifits. She fell last Monday and broke her hip. They refuse to cover her stay in a hopital or rehab so they fixed her hip and sent her on her way.

I have never heard of them denying Vets benifits....Is this the Obama Care at work....Pray please, she was not in her prime when this happened and fear this will cause more than a few issues. I am not sure how long it takes with rehad to learn to walk much less without

    Mizfit,

My dad broke his hip last February, and it took him a couple of months recovering in the hospital. Of course, they reinforced it with a steel pin; so depending upon how severe the break was and how they fixed it, along with how fast or slowly your aunt heals, it can vary.

I would have your aunt or someone who is taking care of her speak to someone at your local Veterans Affairs office to see if they can be of assistance; many times, they know the Veterans Administration system better and can guide you on how to proceed with this. Also, if your aunt is on Medicare and/or Title 19, I would check into that as well. Get online and look up info as well.

Also your local VFW should have a liaison person who could also be very helpful.
