    Default We MUST Act NOW!!!

You can write to your Congress reps here: Congress.org - Get informed, get involved and get their phone #s here: Call Congress Now. We must make sure they know we don not support the sleight-of-hand they're doing in an attempt to ram this health care reform (and the bankruptcy of our country) down our throats. Here's the letter I wrote and sent to the Pres and all my Congrssional members. (I actually cut and pasted some of it from other sources ):

"I say NO!!! NO reconciliation. NO abortion funding for health care. NO government-run programs.

A clear majority of the American people do not support the health care reform proposals now under consideration in Congress. To continue to push against the will of the people, and now with absolute disregard for legislative process and procedure, raises serious constitutional concerns.

I urge you to act in accordance with the law of the land, follow the legislative dictates of our Constitution, and hear the voice of the citizens of America who strongly oppose a government takeover of health care and taxpayer dollars used to fund abortions.
It’s time to take the kind of action that the American people are demanding and deserve: Stop reconciliation and start over on health care. Give us a plan that’s effective, affordable, and protects life.

Also, to even assume that it is okay to use the "Self-Executing Rule" only demonstrates the arrogance of the members of the House (and Speaker Pelosi) and shows how out of touch they are with the desires of their constituents."

Health care overhaul to get fresh look from Rep. Anh 'Joseph' Cao, at request of President Barack Obama

President Barack Obama on Wednesday asked Rep. Anh "Joseph" Cao, R-New Orleans, to take a fresh look at the language on abortion in the Senate health care bill to see whether he could, in good conscience, support landmark health care legislation now days from a final vote.

Cao, the only Republican to vote for the health care bill in either the House or Senate, said he would take another look.

"He's asked if I would restudy the Senate language and that I would approach it with an open mind. And I promised that I would go back and study the Senate language again," Cao said after meeting with Obama in the Oval Office for about 10 minutes Wednesday.

Cao said he appreciated the president's sensitive approach in seeking his vote on an issue that many observers say could make or break Obama's presidency.

Sunday Vote Eyed on Pro-Abortion Health Care Bill, Democrats Still Lack Votes

Meanwhile, Democrats continue moving back and forth on how they will vote on the bill, that is unanimously opposed by pro-life groups.

Rep. Michael Arcuri of New York, a member of the rules panel, said today he will flip form voting yes on the House version of the bill in November to voting no this weekend.

He becomes the third official member, along with Reps. Joe Donnelly (D-IN) and Luis Gutierrez (D-IL), to make the switch -- although another 12 pro-life Democrats led by Rep. Bart Stupak are expected to vote no as well after voting yes on the bill last time.
