Default Angry Hillary: Attack on Iraq Wrong

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton said Friday she would not have attacked Iraq if she were president in 2002 and would end the war if elected, as she tried to blunt rivals like John Edwards who are stoking anti-war passions in the Democratic Party.

Clinton, raising her voice at one point to be heard above anti-war hecklers, suggested that calls from Edwards and others to cut off funding for President Bush's troop increase are unlikely to win approval in a narrowly divided Senate.

"Believe me, I understand the frustration and the outrage," Clinton said in a speech to the Democratic National Committee meeting that brought the party's nine White House hopefuls together for the first time. "You have to have 60 votes to cap troops, to limit funding to do anything. If we in Congress don't end this war before January 2009, as president, I will."

The New York senator's comments were her strongest against the war and signal an effort to confront one of the biggest threats to her front-runner status. As the conflict nears the four-year mark, she has been on the opposite side of the most outspoken anti-war activists who are a force in the Democratic primaries.

Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois reminded the party's rank-and-file — twice — that he was against the Iraq invasion from the beginning.

"But whether you were for it or against it then, we all have a responsibility now to put forth a plan that offers the best chance of ending the bloodshed and bringing the troops home," Obama told the audience.

Sounds familiar...John Kerry voted for the war, before he voted against it too. And her saying that if she were President in 2002 she would not have gone to war...well, hindsight is 20/20 and in 2002 she DID vote to go to war. Semanitcs....

And now she is saying she will stop Iran from getting nukes.
How will she get out of this one?

Like most politicians Hillary is gonna say what she thinks people want to hear. What she doesn't say is thanks to Bill we are where we are,he was too preoccupied to worry about things like terrorists or being attacked on our own land.

Angry Hillary? What else is new? In order to be a liberal you HAVE to be angry at something.
    Are we there yet?

Hillary voted for this war with the same information everyone else had. And we would not have even had to go to war with Iraq if her husband had done his job while he was in office instead of chasing Monica Lewinski around. Clinton was practically handed Osama Bin Laden on a silver platter and he refused. This country is in a heap of trouble is Hillary wins this election! She is a flip flopper and will say whatever makes the voters happy!
Phillippians 3 12-14: "Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead. I press on toward to goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."

    FOCUS ON THE GOAL!!!
