    Default My opinion

In my humble opinion for whatever it is worth, Christians should search their hearts deeply and pray that God will place those in charge who will protect the religious freedom of this great country of ours. With that said, my candidate to protect Christian values, the rights of the unborn, excessive taxation of the middle class, and the gun rights of law-abiding citizens is Governor Mike Huckabee of Arkansas. I also like Ron Paul, but I feel that Huckabee is the more viable candidate. If Governor Huckabee falls, then I will support Senator John McCain because at least he is pro-life. I will vote for anyone who runs against the liberal tandem of Hillary and Obama.

Default That is Probably the way it will fall.

There doesn't seem to be any phrophet in the Old Testiment sense in this country crying for its destruction. But then if Christians would wake up they should be able to see that God isn't pleased with some of the things in our nation.

From that aspect I think that 2 Chronicles 7:14 fits. If we look at verse 13 too, it should cause some thought. But I think that the Church is fat, dumb, happy, and asleep. Talk about the judgement of God on this country, and most people don't accept it. I posted that our country is in need of prayer on another forum, and it almost started a war. Can ask for individual prayer, but not for our country.

For years that is what it boils down too. Is the candidate going to lead as I think a Christian should? It has always narrowed too pro life.

I think that you have pretty well hit the nail on the head. I cannot see things changing much. You have properly performed the potential problem analysis. That is my basic thoughts.

Respectable sentiments Phillip. I have decided to accumilate as much confidence as I can in one candidate who exhibits the most calm wisdom. This would be my indicator of who best follows the Lord. Right off the cuff, Huckabee would have to be a front runner. And I am beginning to have a minor appreciation of Romney.

I have read many postings of what is wrong with everybody. And something always is wrong with every candidate. God has put non-believers into office to fulfill His will on earth before, with today's prophetic fulfillment, He may just do that again. I will constantly pray for God's direction on this matter, and watch for understanding in the candidates.

Psalm 75:6-7 says, "For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west nor from the south. But God is the judge: He putteth down one, and setteth up another."

You are totally right Carl and Adopted Son! God does choose ultimately who will be elected president or any other office!
