Default What Should A Christian Look For?

I've looked through the threads in this section of the form. Lots of points pro and con about the candidates, taxes, laws, etc.

I started wondering today about what a Christian should look for in a candidate? How can guide lines be set up so that a check list can be generated. What kind of a rating system can be devised so that a legitimate choice can be generated.

I realize that none of us our perfect. Neither are any of the presidential candidates.

Originally I thought that right to life would do it. Can it be assumed that if a person supports right to life that the rest of his standards and morals are acceptable?

How about rating according to the 10 commandments?
How about rating according to the qualifications for Bishop or deacon?

Shouldn't there be some kind of standard so the church can produce a concerted vote?

    Just thinking.

    thanks, Carl

Default For what it is worth.....

Doing a human analysis may be unfruitful. We are looking for the least dangerous according to OUR understanding of what it takes. I still believe God has a plan, which covers this election, and I ask Him to move me to choose the candidate He plans to elect.

For the record, as of yet, He hasn't let me know. Still wondering though. I will say there are those my sensibilities tell me are trouble. It would be hillarious if God moved me to vote for one of those that repulse me. I will obey of course.

Strange times are these in which we live when old and young are taught in falsehoods school. And the one man that dares to tell the truth is called at once a lunatic and fool ---- Plato
