    Default heavenly crowns

i recently read that one of the crowns we will recieve to lay at Jesus's feet is one that involves our soul winning to christ.

What ive often wondered about is if we will still get this crown just based on the fact that we shared the good news. I mean anyone who has ever witnessed knows that you cant make someone choose salvation. With my own experience ive had more people to turn away than to come to Jesus souly because they want to continue living there life for themselves.

I continue to try and share the news of Jesus to my friends and family but some just arent ready to recieve it. but will Jesus still accredit this to a crown because i tried?

I honestly don't think it is about sharing the good news as much as it is living our lives as a witness to others.

My Grandmother, to my knoweldge, never shared the actual gospel message yet her life was a living testimony to His love that shown in her and whenever someone would ask how she could show such love and strength and courage in the face of life's many trials she simply would say, "Jesus"

I heard from many people after her death at 91 who told me of all the loving things she did for them with no thought of even a thank you and how they admired her love of the Lord and how they came to a saving faith because they wanted what she had in knowing Him - and I am one of the souls her witness won over for Him.

And your grandmother definitely heard "Well done" when she entered Heaven. What a beautiful testimony, Ruth.

We are called to be holy, different, set apart from this world. We are NOT called OUT of this world, to separate ourselves entirely. People ARE watching us...and seeing how we (as Christians) live our lives, handle trials, etc. One of the greatest witnesses to Christ comes in what others see in us. And, like Ruth's grandmother, the way we live our lives has a DEFINITE impact on other's.

May we continue to let Christ' light shine through us, bringing others into a saving knowledge of Christ, while there is still time...

    YSIC,

    Anji

That is so cool. We are facing an onslaught of situations right now and that will be MY response as well. Only because it's the truth.
    Are we there yet?

Thank you both for your kind words and encouragement. I know my Grandmother would be tickled to know that she is still ministering to people's hearts via proxy (LOL) and I really needed to hear some words of love and support today.

    Thank you both. 2:
